Bloody hell mate, you're quoting some dire **** there. You wanna see a new version of Hills Have Eyes mate just take a look at United's owners.
The original is brilliant, once it gets going with this guy coming out of nowhere all the time, relentless and brilliantly funny. Not a great film but certainly no good remakes.

It's occurred to me if I'd decided to watch For A Few Dollars More instead this whole concersation could've been a whole lot different.

The only modern remake that comes close to being better than the original is The Jungle Book. The one wkth Bill Murray as Baloo.

Agree about the songs. Also think Idris Elba did a great job as Sher Khan but couldn't out do the great George Sanders. The film was still excellent though.
I'll have a look at that new Tarzan film. Didn't know about it.
