Ad Astra is comfortably the worst film I have ever seen. There are plot absurdities throughout with several twists inserted with no relevance to the final outcome.
The acting is terrible.
I can't believe it's worse than Prometheus, now I mst watch it and decide.

There are three physically impossible events in the plot. Stopping on the way to Mars, getting back to his spacecraft from his father's ship and riding a shockwave back to earth.
There are also four completely pointless events...the fall from the absurd tower, the journey across the neutral zone on the moon, the fight with the gorillas (!) and the swim through the underground lake on Mars. All of these are totally unbelievable and are unimportant to anything else in the plot. We are also expected to believe that a man going on a mission that is crucial to the planet's survival would start by taking a commercial flight to the moon which terminates in a place where the only option is to cross a zone full of pirates in a moon buggy. The only possible reason for that is to get some cash into the film from Virgin.

Agree with all of this.

It is very easy to pick holes in interstellar flicks that involve travel...but yes the journey across the neutral zone with pirates was an unnecessary - a preposterous sub plot.

Shame, as I love Tommy Lee Jones and Donald Sutherland.

I really want to see the Claire Denis take on black hole High Life with Robert Pattison. The sets are by Olafur Eliasson, who has a very child friendly retrospective on at the Tate currently. Haven't heard any kids complaining about being dragged to the Tate this summer.

Not into action fighting movies at all really but you have to appreciate the choreography that goes into it tbh. Its worth watching for that alone imo, I've enjoyed all 3 wick movies tbh
Watch the raid.

Yer welkum.

Watched the joker during my ban today.

Very very good film.

Kept me gripped all the way through, phoenix was brilliant.

Deffo see this if you ain't already.

Jesse was annoying as **** by the end. Todd is now a fat **** as well which ruined the "Flashback"

It was alright, nothing special though and the gay little quick draw thing was pointless.

Didn't answer the 2 main questions I had after the series ended as well, guess the actors got too old or something so couldn't put them in El Camino

I like the quick draw thing. I believe it was an attempt to show how Jessie had learnt from Walt; to think on his feet rather than do things rashly.
