took a risk after watching him in Landman and realising how good he actually is.

I love a sports biopic and hadn't seen this one.

 

Malcolm X .... had never seen it before - some film - Denzel's performance was top drawer ...

 

Can't believe you hadn't seen that, great film.

 

Bit racist tho

 

Yeah there are scenes of racism throughout.

Relevant today though...

Rewatch of course but Adam Sandler's first attempt at serious role and a great start, Paul Thomas Anderson film and just all around brilliance.

Just finished "The Continental " on prime.
It's a John Wick tie in set in the 70s.
If you like the Wick films its well worth a watch.

The Iron Claw currently on Netflix, top film.

 

Film about wrestling? ... sounds a bit ... well... you know?

 

You watch that and tell me it's not a great film, proper challenge.
