Wanted to watch Under Paris which has got some really good reviews - but vetoed by the missus coz it's in French with sub-titles - questioned whether she'd be listening to Ern but she just shook her head and sighed in a "... what the **** are you on about now, you twat?" kind of way - no point suggesting Kurosawa and the 7 then ... <laugh>

Life after fighting

Didn't hold out much hope for this low budget Aussie flick tbh.

Turned out to be actually alright.

The plot is dogshit and the acting much the same but the fight scenes are excellent especially the showpiece showdown at the end of the movie. Reminded me a bit ofvthe raid although it doesn't match up anywhere near to that gem. (It's subtitled though so not everyone will have witnessed It's brilliance)

Anyhoo, if you like a good arse kicking movie you could do worse.

6/10

One of the cool things about Predator was Arnie turns the tables on the alien with the mud so he's the one camouflaged and the predator can't see him.

I'm surprised none of the many sequels ever did that again. Had a bit in the 2nd with the Feds doing it but not much and they weren't the hero.

just finished ted lasso. Had a blast with it. 9.5/10

Feel good story, love a comedy, probs a bit high for others but its good enough for me

Industry season 2 - 7.3

Slightly better than the first season whilst continuing its “Skins but investment bankers instead of college students” theme.

Suncoast on Disney+ - not my choice but the missus had heard about it and the girls fancied it - coming of age drama about dealing with terminal illness of a sibling - tough watch at times but great acting performances from the principles that included Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson. Not something I would ever have chosen but I'd give it an 8 for the acting.
