Rebel Moon - aka the Star Wars/ Harry Potter/ Lord of the Rings rip-off - 5.7

If the major franchises didn’t exist I’d probably have enjoyed it a bit more but seeing as this just doesn’t feel original due to ripping multiple aspects of those listed, it loses brownie points. Ed Skrein’s character also ripped aspects of Christoph Waltz’s in Inglorious Basterds in my opinion, which isn’t actually bad thing. Sofia Boutella however just cannot act and is a poor lead, swear she gets roles based on the fact she’s agile and can move a bit.

Watch if bored but don’t expect a classic, despite this presumably being a big budget one for Netflix.
The plot was The Magnificent 7.

I’ve seen no tv or movies at all this Christmas….i did plan on watching something like andor but just not got the want when it comes to knocking it on

If it was up to me my house would be a tv free zone

Well that certainly makes a change from your usual movie treat of Oldboy on a Christmas Day afternoon with the kids.

And where the fck is Hitchcock on that list?

Or Die Hard ffs?

A list of fine classics no doubt but there's no disguising it, this is a shocking fail from ALDO.

It's a list of the movies I have watched over the last few days mate.

If I watch Die Hard or Vertigo I'll be sure to get back to you.

In which case your choice is left seriously wanting.

Next time ask and I'll give you a few suggestions.

Rear Window or North by Northwest (the latter which I watched yesterday btw) is the preferred crimbo Hitchcock movie of choice for the connoisseur btw.

I'm sorry, did I not watch the films you wanted me to watch?

Ffs!

<laugh>

Away and watch one of the incredible films on my recently watched list then.

I've got nothing on except a lazy day doing fck all today so currently watching a documentary series chronicling the Vietnam War on PBS. It's excellent tbf, very much like The World at War with Larry Olivier.

Casablanca stands out but I saw it again a few weeks back. It's made me want to stick on Maltese Falcon though.
