Got to the 2nd film with De Niro as Vito and started googling who was the younger versions of who from the first one.
Clemenza, Tessio and Tomasino in case anyone's wondering.
The second one is better than the first imo. Never seen the third

not if you had read the book .A lot of ppl say the same. I was having the debate yesterday and it's a hard one. On the one hand I love the original bcos of the different characters - Sonny, Vito, Michael, even Tom Hagan has much more about him as he constantly argues with Sonny. But then the 2nd is darker and I love the backstory with De Niro.
I think I go with the first because the first time I saw it there was scene after scene I didnt know what to expect. That scene in the restaurant where he shoots both men was one of the most tense ever imo.
G3 is not rated very highly but I like it tbh. He just fcked up by casting his daughter as a main character. It ruined the film tbh.

not if you had read the book .
My school library was brill![]()

helped pass the hours when you're 14If I'd seen that book in my school library before I'd ever seen the film, I'd have steered well clear looking at the size of it![]()

I was "reading" something else at 14. Usually found on the top shelf at the local newsagents and smuggled out in a Match magazine![]()

Don't ignore this post, well worth watching and I'd recommend not reading what it's about and just watching. It's on Disney.

I don't think I would've watched it if I had tbh.
Reminds me of another film but I can't think what.
You must have been "ROM COM" I'm gonna ****ing kill him!
Then "oh okay maybe"
Then "he gonna do what now?"

That almost lol
When Samuel L Jackson looking like he was 40 yrs younger came on, I thought something was wrong.
The rest of that is bang on though. When he says to her what he's going to do I was like whaa?!

No argument here, I thought it was a masterclass of the art.I'm usually the stoic type but the show moved me to tears on more than one occasion. The final episode especially.
Sam Elliott gives what I consider to be one of the greatest performances of all time.
That the one where the shark rolls and you get a view of the oblong cutout in the belly where the operator isJaws on ITV4
The best of the franchise
