A lot of ppl say the same. I was having the debate yesterday and it's a hard one. On the one hand I love the original bcos of the different characters - Sonny, Vito, Michael, even Tom Hagan has much more about him as he constantly argues with Sonny. But then the 2nd is darker and I love the backstory with De Niro.
I think I go with the first because the first time I saw it there was scene after scene I didnt know what to expect. That scene in the restaurant where he shoots both men was one of the most tense ever imo.
G3 is not rated very highly but I like it tbh. He just fcked up by casting his daughter as a main character. It ruined the film tbh.

I'm usually the stoic type but the show moved me to tears on more than one occasion. The final episode especially.

Great fun film, I wish I hadn't known before watching.
