I think my CK Scale works nicely:

    1 - Switched off within 10mins
2 - Switched off within first half of the film
3 - That's 2 hours of my life I'm not getting back (watching Spurs tends to fall in this category)
4 - Film had promise but let itself down with silly plot/casting/script etc.
5 - Will watch if snacks and company are top drawer
6 - Will watch if nothing else to do
7 - Watched and enjoyed from start to finish
8 - Watched, enjoyed and continued thinking about it after it had finished but won't watch again unless <see 5>
9 - As above but would happily watch again
    10 - Timeless classic

Green Inferno could be included in the Curry debate as it is a cultural food

First time he's seen it? It's great going through all the classics with the kids for the first time.

It's like new releases for them.

Ah man you gotta do Goonies. Then Back to the Future.

There should be a list of films to do with kids for the first time.

Mine are at an age where I've recently shown them Breakfast Club and 12 Angry Men.
