  1. Don't worry, Roofie. Bambi will be along in a moment to set you right.

    He's geeky like that, mate.

'Rocky Balboa' takes place 16 years after his last fight so maybe they decided to change it up a bit. While he's still an active fighter the films go in number sequence order then change as he retires ... just a guess

I thought Casino Royale was the best Craig bond movie by some distance, absolutely loved it. Sky Fall was very decent as well.

Another Daniel Craig film worth checking out is Munich. A Speilberg movie. He's only support though, main actor is Eric Bana.

    My favourite Bond films:

    Dr. No.
    Goldfinger.
    Man with Golden Gun.
GoldenEye. (coincidence gold in title are best?)
    Skyfall.

    Not so good.
Any Timothy Dalton. Any Craig except Skyfall. Moonraker, Russia with Love.

Most people's fav bond is probably the one they grew up with. An old git like you is surely a Connery man ;)

    hehe

Octopussy and Man with the Golden Gun are my favourite Bond films! :p

Love it in Octopussy when he wins all the money at the Indian Casino from the bad guy and gives it to some Beggar on the street outside "That'll buy you a lot of curries!"

    Ahh the 80's.

Pretty good guess I'd say , they probably wanted to reference the long time between the last fight and the new movie and gave it it's own sort of " Title "

    Spot on.

Was born in the 80's so Moore was my Bond.

A description of James Bond from the books - slim build; a three-inch long, thin vertical scar on his right cheek; blue-grey eyes; a "cruel" mouth; short, black hair, a comma of which falls on his forehead. - which actor best fits that?

    Dalton probably.

Not that it matters much, Bond is like the Doctor from Doctor Who, they just get whomever they think will do it best.

Besides, who in the **** has read a James Bond book anyway?
Can't say I have ever read one

  14. I "grew up" with Roger Moore as bond, but saw the Sean Connery movies practically every Christmas as a lad, and I must preferred those. I liked Roger Moore and The Saint (please, not ****ing comments on him being a sock!), but I thought he took the piss out of Bond.

I actually prefer Daniel Craig best of all, and probably prefer him to Connery, although I doubt there is very much in it.

I don't like the Dalton movies very much.

Sean Connery / Pierce Brosnan were the best.

    Roger Moore was consistently OK.

    D. Craig has improved in last two.

    Lazenby was meh.

    Timothy Dalton was awful.

I liked License to Kill, but Living Daylights was written for Roger Moore so it was very comedic.
Dalton did not have the comedic talents Moore had, so it didn't work.

Connery was very good, his films are just too old.

Live and let Die, Octopussy and Man with the Golden Gun were Bonds peak for me.

I grew up on Roger Moore but there were enough reruns of Connery I was familiar with both. Connery was excellent. Moore was adequate.

Brosnan I think would have been good, but he unfortunately he was at a disadvantage in that all the scripts were utter dogshit for his movies.

Golden eye was great, a promising start.
Alan Cummings and Sean Bean as the bad guys, plus Famke Jannsen :emoticon-0115-inlov She could squeeze me any time she wanted!

But Tomorrow Never Dies, World is not Enough, Die Another Day etc were ****e.

Oh I absolutely agree with you there. The writing in the Brosnan era wasn't the best but I thought he pulled off the role very well.

I flipped through a few when working in a bookstore, never actually read one cover to cover so probably not a fair judge, but I think this is one case where film might be better. Flipping through the books never made me want to read them. Too much crap about him eating and picking what to drink.
