Day 194, film 194," identity thieft", looks **** and has the fat bird out of bridesmaids in it, cannot stand the cow.... No ****ing iPad, no DVDs and no comp.... **** !!!!
Love it. People are so precious on here nowadays. I don't much agree with piracy OTL, but I also don't whine like a baby when someone else does it either. I get on with my life. On topic, I think Quantum of Solace is the worst Craig film. Spectre is third though, the other two way ahead.
Because you're not passionate about something, does that mean no-one should be? Now, as you're getting on with your life, would you mind listing the other Bond films in order of preference?
Argument? There are posters much more qualified than I in that department, I suggest that you look them up if that's your thing.
I'm very passionate about film. If you look on my profile, you would see that my occupation is set to 'Film Journalist'. Also that link in my sig is a link to a profile I will soon be writing regular reviews on. I just don't see the point in getting so uppity about it on a ****ing internet forum. Since you asked: Bond films, favourite to least favourite: Goldeneye Casino Royale From Russia with Love On Her Majesty's Secret Service The Living Daylights Goldfinger The Spy Who Loved Me Skyfall Dr. No You Only Live Twice Thunderball License to Kill The Man with the Golden Gun Tomorrow Never Dies Spectre Live and Let Die For Your Eyes Only The World is Not Enough Diamonds are Forever Quantum of Solace Octopussy A View to a Kill Moonraker Die Another Day
I'll probably disagree with that list in about 10 minutes. I've not seen a lot of them for years. The only ones I'm 100% certain on are those at the very top and bottom.
On a coincidental note, The Man with the Golden Gun is on itv4 right now. I've not invested in buying it though as it is on telly - so OTL won't like it.
Those terrestrial commercial channels are lower than a snakes belly, making such blockbusters free to view, it's a total outrage!
I do wonder how Daniel Craig has this 'reign' over the mass media. He's like the film equivalent of Venables or Redknapp, whereby they fawn all over him without any evidence to suggest he's any good. They regularly hail him as the best Bond and every film he does is proclaimed 'the best Bond ever' but they're entirely average. I'm with Quill, Goldeneye is by far and away the best and I think Brosnan is up there with the best Bonds. He did have some ****e films but they werent down to him.
Watched Ghostbusters last night... Now the original is my favourite film of all time - seriously. I dont think it's the best film of all time, but it's my favourite. However I'm not one of these 'fan boys' who was determined to hate it no matter what - I wouldnt spend £20 to do that - nor does the all-female cast bother me, I've liked past work of Wiig and McCarthy. But Jesus Christ... what a shower of ****e...that's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. It really is appalling from start to finish and surprisingly low-budget looking. It feels like they spent all the money on the last 15 minutes. Avoid.
I thought it was just bang average, maybe just below. I didn't like it much anyways. It's nowhere near as bad as the marketing made it out to be.
I only read one review - The Guardian - and they gave it a glowing one. I havent seen any other stuff, is it getting a slating? I thought it felt really amateurish, like it was made by some film studies kids pissing about at college.
I was talking to my mate about this, basically was saying they could have made this film but not had 'Ghostbusters' attached to it, the way they've done it has made it look like a cash-in on the original which was all about the banter between the fellas really. They are kind of forcing fans of the original to have an opinion on it so no wonder it got so much negative build-up. I won't watch it at the cinema
Oh, the other thing I forgot to mention was the cameos. I think they had one from every main actor in the original except Rick Moranis - unless I missed it? -and a nice little nod to Harold Ramis. But was completely pointless and added nothing to the film whatsoever.
People have been copying stuff since time immemorial and the world has kept turning, as far as I know people who pirate stuff are also the biggest consumers of the stuff that's been pirated so your argument is duff really.
Yeah, they are trying to drag in the fans of the original, I was tempted to go and see Bill Murray myself
Probably beca Maybe you should do a bit of research and find out for yourself then. Large film Studios only use tried and tested actors and regurgitate franchises, for this very reason. Independent Studios are on a hiding to nothing.
Pirating is theft, I waste loads of my time preventing thieving toerags from pirating my clothing and trading off a reputation I spent years and a small a fortune establishing. Personally, I think death is not a severe enough penalty.
It's getting mixed reviews. Rotten Tomatoes currently has it at a 75%, with review ratings at around 6.5. A lot of reviews from the audience are giving it a pasting, but I have a feeling a lot of those are people who were just hating on it before and actually haven't seen it. There's nearly as many who think it is just fine.
If I was a successful businessperson like you I would have the same point of view, I don't really agree with fake clothes or watches but in terms of films TV and music that industry has never died out because of people recording and copying stuff. Clothing is a different matter.
