Just watched “Kodachrome”, ****ing loved this film, A bit predictable but still right up my street.....
Agreed, Suspiria is probably only second to The Shining for me when it comes to horror films. This looks beautiful (like the original), and the score by Thom Yorke sounds amazing (like the original). Hopefully it lives up to the hype. Reading about the scene of this remake they showed behind closed doors at Cinemacon earlier this year and it sounded absolutely insane. https://birthmoviesdeath.com/2018/0...uld-not-have-shown-the-first-suspiria-footage
I am big fan of the Exorcist 3 apart from the awful Exorcism scene at the end Brad Dourif and George C Scott scenes are amazing.
He is brilliant, surround sound nobody in volume high it's a terrifying performance. I don't know if horror is particular genre you like I love it but check out Kill List & House of The Devil. Also the French Extreme though it can be tough to watch but I highly recommend Martyrs, Inside & Switchblade Romance.
IT came up on my Skybox today, a few people have recommended it to me so might give it a go. Used to watch a lot of Stephen King adaptations as a kid, Misery was the best of them I think.
Nobody seen Solo, went to see it last week & thought it was very good. Paul Bettany is good as the bad guy. It’s getting slated by people who haven’t seen it because they don’t like The Last Jedi. For me very enjoyable & the end left it open to a sequel.
Watched a heap of **** last night. Grey Lady on Sky, was hoping for a good murder mystery but ended up as laugh at the acting. And I see another Lisbeth Salander movie is due to arrive, November. New story writer, new Lisbeth, they have some shoes to fill, loved the orginal Stig novels and films.
Strange mixture of sadness and anticipation on hearing this. If it's only half as good as the original trilogy I'll be happy.
Get Shorty, not the movie but the series on Sky, full series is available on demand. Watch it, it's brilliant with many Soprano like moments, with not one bad performance in the full series.
I think its the hardcore Star Wars geeks slagging it off too but I quite fancy seeing it. I liked the Last Jedi too, you can only go on what you see yourself and read the reviews afterwards.
I've been watching some old horror movies that I've never seen before for some reason . This week I have watched Halloween , Nightmare on Elm Street , and The Wicker man .... I can see why they might have been big at the time , but proper naff now tho .... enjoyed The Wicker man the most . Got Friday the 13th lined up for tonight , I like to keep my finger on the pulse of modern cinema
