I know what you mean, I have a lot of albums listed on Spotify I've been meaning to listen to but I never seem to get round to it, there's too many.

If people like psychological horror I highly recommend Jacobs Ladder.
Bought the blu-ray on Friday picture quality isn't a huge leap from DVD but the sound quality has been remastered and it sounds amazing.

Read the book (H of D by JC) years ago. Quite small book but I recall its style taking me a while to tune in to.

    Brutal too.

I'd like to rewatch it as I haven't seen it since it came out on VHS (1990/91?????)

I remember it having the grim heat of a bad dream.

5 things about the Oscars last night.

    1. Lady Bird was robbed. The more I think about that film, the better it gets. Should've won Best Picture and Best Director at least.
    2. Roger Deakins finally winning an award for cinematography (at the 14th attempt) for Blade Runner, he's been waiting longer than DiCaprio ever did.
    3. Kobe Bryant now has more Oscars than Christopher Nolan. Really?
    4. You missed out Adam West in the In Memoriam segment. **** sake.
    5. This awards show is way too ****ing self congratulating.

I never watch the Oscars, or any awards things really. The ‘highlights’ on the news are bad enough

I did stop a week in the hotel on Hollywood Boulevard where the first Oscars took place though. It’s a Roosevelt now, opposite where the new Oscar ceremony is (assuming it’s still at Grauman’s?) Britney Spears and Paris Hilton just checked out as we arrived. (I don’t think because we arrived...and I don’t think they were sharing a room, but I can’t confirm either of those things)
Cool place, but the pool area was full of obvious gangsters (not gangstas)

    Man!
    You are missing the point!

It’s the Oscars. It’s not what you want it to be.
    It’s an industry jerk circle.

I was just about to post that my first film I remember was Krakatoa, East of Java, but you mentioning Butch Cassidy, which I also went to as a very wee nipper in the same year means I haven't got a clue which was my first. My mum used to drag me and my brother to the cinema most weeks so god knows what was first, and also whether it was at The Cecil, ABC or Tower (which was still a cinema back then I'm pretty sure).

Had one hell of a day today, fan-****ing-tastic game,
And capped it off with a brilliant film, just watched
Probably one of the five best films I’ll watch this year.
“ The Shape of Water “ oh my Lord I love this film,
Visually, the music and the acting was superb...
And if anyone else hates it all I can say is......
    **** YOU !!!

Watched it last night Red, starts off slow, and a little bit different, but in the end was a really enjoyable film, especially the bathroom scenes :emoticon-0110-tongu

Unlike my granddad, I thought The Shape of Water was decent, but not amazing. Should never have won Best Picture at the Oscars imo.

Seen Tomb Raider, and in the tradition of video game films, it isn't that good.

Shame really, the new Tomb Raider games are fantastic.
