That opening scene where he asks for a glass of milk is one of my favourites of all time

 

The TV series of that are both fantastic, just finished watching the second one

 

Still the Coen Brothers' best film, it is fantastic.

It's meant to be daft. It's a black comedy.

For obvious reasons...

 

The Man Who Fell to Earth is getting a watch tonight.

 

Gambit is going to begin filming soon. Was always my favorite X-men character. Hopefully Tatum will do a good job, he did grow up in the Bayou so at least the accent should be legit.

 

Day 12, film 12, "black mass", have to watch it today
As its darts night tonight, we're in second in the Beverley
League, good win tonight and could go top.
Apparently "black mass"is a true story of a gangster
From Boston,who was an FBI informer. It's got
Johnny depp as the lead character, got good reviews.

 

It's about Whitey Bulger, who was, to put it nicely, a psychopath.

The film is fine. Depp's performance is great.

 

TV not film again but just started watching Boardwalk Empire with the great Steve Buscemi of Fargo/Reservoir Dogs fame. Set in the 20's and very realistic, keeps you thinking all the time, Scorsese directed the first episode. Nearly finished first season, highly recommend it but definitely a slow burner to watch

 

Just watched "black mass" very good film, what an absolute ****ing nutcase bulger was, depp is very good..
Well worth a watch, especially as its based on a true story..... I won't say owt else so as not to spoil it for anyone....you've gotta ****ing love afdah !!!
