I'm not a massive fan of The Changeling. It's an alright film, granted, though I'm not a massive horror fan overall bar a few films. Anything that isn't really that psychological I'm not big on, apart from the Evil Dead series, they're ****ing fantastic. I suppose Hitchcock is technically the exception, but I consider his horrors more like thrillers.

In terms of horror, nothing tops The Shining for me.

dunno if you have done the "based on a true story " movie thread but two on Netflix i'd recommend are

Fruitvale Station , its just a normal dude doing his normal dude stuff till , well ....
West Memphis three - its a documentary but ur shaking ur head saying WTF all the way through .

I thought Memento was quite easy to follow. I turned Kajaki off after 20 mins as I couldn't understand a word they were saying.
I wasn't in the mood for subtitles which I use quite a lot. Birdman was highly rated but I turned that off too after half an hour.
I liked the humour in He is not dead yet and also liked We're the Millers but hated Horrible bosses.
Try and watch A Funny Kind of Love 2014 (it was called the Little Death when I watched it). A funny Australian film, very vulgar, but don't watch it with your granny, aunt or daughter.
Proper belly laughs at some parts of Due Date but bored in others.
See if you can watch a Serbian Film without being very very disturbed.

<laugh> I wasn't sure which one you was on about, so I went for the more popular one.

I haven't seen that one. I heard it got mixed reviews and never really got round to it.

each to their own , but I don't know what's not to like about it , sometimes it's fashionable to hate a good movie , fight club suffered with that n I didn't get the hype of Donnie Darko, I've seen it three times n it wasn't tilll the third time I got it .
    Butterfly effect was massively better

I didn't read it as you wishing him to fail, nor did I read your 'been docile cents' post anything other that a harmless play on the topic being discussed, but the one with Quill was pointless and was bound to draw a squeal. You think you're clever, you probably are, but why work so hard to prove it? That's a dog's life.

Love Django... Waltz is great, but Leo steals that film IMO. Should've got an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting at least, probably a win. How Waltz won Best Supporting I don't know, as he wasn't a 'supporting' actor in that film, he was a main character.

Waltz's performance in Inglorious Basterds is superior for me.

In the last week? That's almost 22 hours of movies. Add another and make it a full day!

Cheers Ellewoods, just watched Dark City and it was superb (except for Kiefer's acting!). Best film I have seen for ages.

It is a horror, it's based on a Stephen King short story, it's not great.

If you fancy an older film, if you haven't seen it already of course, try the Coen Brothers 'Fargo' .......... a true story, as the film unravels you start to wonder how anyone would think such an ill-thought out scheme might work ......... check it out!

True or not, it's a bit of a daft film.
