Was about to post that. That is probably my favourite. Godfather Part II's ending is excellent also.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest for me too. But then it's the best film ever made for me so i would say that.
Most of the great movie endings seem to be either depressing or have the bad guys come out on top.

Zulu. One of my favourites and the last film I saw in London before departing the UK for South Africa in the mid-60's. A year or so later I went to visit the location where the film was made- it wasn't Rorke's Drift!
