No point having Stewards if they don't get something to do now and then, there were some Swindon fans dotted around the ground whose behaviour was perfectly acceptable, there is always the chance of the odd one taking too many sherbets, and what I call the the 'Damian complex' kicks in and they go into a complete personality change, unfortunately, with some, it results in uncontrolled aggression, and has to be dealt with appropriately, it is important to know your limit as far as alchohol is concerned. There are also of course a minority of numpties who think it is big just to cause trouble, and they come from all sides. I thought that yesterdays game was a bit of a curates egg, good in parts. The classic 5 Boys Chocolate syndrome, Desperation, Pacification, Expectation, Acclamation, Realisation!
I think they were asking for trouble sitting there and celebrating so ridiculously in the home end when they have annoyed Saints fans around them. Although I don't think starting a fight is the right solution and should have been prevented by not letting them sit there in the first place , you can't be surprised by the reaction of fellow saints supporters , some of the Swindon lot were being stupid.
Perhaps they were in the Saints end because they have an SO postcode? When I tried to book tickets last year for Southampton v Southend, they wouldn't let me because I have a Southend postcode. Could this be why?
Doubt it DTLW, just the usual idiots from Swindon like last year. Great support though so fair play to them. (The actual away fans I mean, not the idiots in the home sections)
Hasn't the club now got a " seats only sold on matchdays to database known customers" policy going now?
did'nt quiet finish my last statment what I was trying to say is if the club does not stamp on these idiots some one or more may end injured or worse and then what does that say about the state of our club and football in general ,go in peace and lets win the rest of the season
