I don't care how this ends up, What I do care about is that the FA have said absolutely NOTHING about this, which sets a terrible precedent for the future.
We may be suprised, but the FA don't want to upset the prem boys, bloody joke they should act strongly over this matter.
blah blah, th fact is Senegal were told after they returned him injured that he would be out for UPTO six weeks, they could've called him up and hoped he recovered enough to play, but they didn't because they didn't want a player who would definitely be injured for the first two games and possibly the whole tournament, Senegal are whining about Sakho to take the heat off their early exit, the big clubs have done far far worse and escaped scot free. The fine is minimal because we havn't really done anything wrong. You lot are as bad as Sheffield united fans, making up your own versions of what 'ineligability' means because you lost. There was nothing to make either Tevez or Sakho inelligible to play for us when they did. And even if Sakho was deemed to be ineligible you wouldn't egt a bye anyway, the match would have been replayed.
Don't understand all the fuss, as it suits City to concentrate on the League, which is our main priority. It appears that the deciding committee felt this was a technical offence worthy of only a fine. While Chesterfield were asked to replay their tie V MK Dons for a technical offence, the decision in this case was a fine. We ain't going to change it, so why not accept it and move on.
I don't think we pursued anything....so miggins is spouting off about nothing...fine was the statutory one set yonks ago
makes me laugh that West Ham fans are being so defensive and accusing us of making a fuss, when the ordinary City fan couldn't give a toss about whether the game is re-played or awarded to us, or the result stays the same. What we are doing is discussing exactly what is in the papers and the media. To paraphrase a famous ex-England Manager "West Ham fans have gone right down in my estimation and I will love it, love it, if West Brom beat them". Just desserts
go and read everything written by BCFC fans on this forum about it before spouting off ya ****ing bumpkin.
I really wasn't expecting anyone to overturn the result and we should move on because the governing bodies haven't got a clue, or the desire to reprimand teams for breaking the rules, how to handle the supposed bigger teams.
Bit of a shame all this- I grew up at a time when the Big match was on Sunday afternoons- We used to get London edition with Brian Moore and it seemed that West Ham were on every week. Bobby Moore, Hurst and Peters were still there as were Greavsie, Pop Robson and Billy Bonds- I grew up getting very used to that team. The fact that there was a fine though, suggests wrong doing. The size of the fine doesn't change anything. I just wish that there was consistency in these things. There is a difference between West Ham and Chesterfield. - 2 divisions. Personally, I have found that no one outside of City or West ham gives a jot- As far as I am concerned, we are out of the cup and should just let the matter drop, we aren't going to get anywhere and only risk embarrassment and uncertainty that we don't need.
I think dear Miggins is reacting angrily because he knows deep down his team had to cheat to scrape past a league 1 side.. it's the only explanation.
