quite simply its called not disrupting the team or minimal disruption of the team. if TC had any pace he would be a sure fire fit for the left wing as he has a great left peg. Koren bossed midfield last week so he has to stay there. but its a good debate this one and only NP knows what will actually happen. bet watford dont know either. lol.
If Koren is in the middle though, there's no one to play wide. The only real option is Cairney but I don't think you get the best out of him out there. none of the strikers suit it and we don't even have a right winger who'd allow Brady to switch over.
Everytime I've seen him play out wide I think he's been very very quiet and not had much of a hold on the game. His recent EXCELLENT good form and goals have clearly been whilst playing in the middle where he looks miles more comfortable playing. To me he is a natural Central Midfielder, not winger !!!
Totally agree with you once more, both Koren & Cairney are to me, natural Centre Mid players, NOT wingers. The headache is who should play wide? Given the injuries to Pusic and Stewart I have to go against what I said earlier and play Waghorn out wide, this seems to be the most obvious decision. This would be my team... Basso Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon Brady Cairney Koren Waghorn Fryatt McLean
No Evans is madness! Brady Evans Cairney Koren Waghorn Fryatt/McLean No one out of position, no weaknesses.
He's scored 2 this season, both of them from the wing. All of his best games last season were from out wide (Portsmouth H, Preston A, Reading H, Barnsley H come to mind) and when he did play there last season he just got crowded out and couldn't find the space. This season he has been much better overall, and he's been effective in pretty much every game. He played well against Cardiff in the middle but he also tore Portsmouth apart playing on the wing and scored a screamer (and hit the bar for that disallowed Waggy goal). There's no evidence to say he's better in either position at the moment, except last season when he was better on the wing!
Never really rated Evan's. He is a mediocre player very much like for like with McKenna in my opinion. The other option of course would be to play 4-3-3 Basso Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon Brady Koren Cairney Waghorn McLean Fryatt.
I've been unsure about Evans at times but lately his tackling and determination have impressed me, I think he's getting better all the time, along with Dudgeon, and I'm happy for him to be in the team at the moment. I just hope it's Cairney alongside him and not McKenna, nothing against McKenna but we might lack creativity with those two.
Lets not forget, Barmby has yet to be ruled out injured for definite yet and may well feature. He can play midfield or up top.
What's happened to Macca? He was on the bench last week. Barmby would be an option but he's always taken a while to get over niggling injuries since he's been here.
Barmby's been ruled out and McShane is suffering from a dead leg, according to the HDM - Corry Evans and Martyn Waghorn have both brushed off injury concerns with a return to training yesterday, but Nick Barmby (calf) will not feature, while Paul McShane (dead leg) will be assessed again today.
he was always going to stick him there..he only put him in his rightful position becaus he was forced too, then couldnt change him back after rave reviews...wouldnt surprise me if he nobbled pusic himself..
What news on the website? I can't see any mention of Barmby other than from the press conference on Thursday.
