I think the point made by a Spurs fan earlier was a good one. We did rely last year on our midfielders to score majority of our goals for whatever reason and we struggled.

Is he World Class though? I suppose it all depends how broadly you define it, there's got to be a point where bad form goes on for long enough for it simply to be a decline in the player.

It's clear he's still a quality player but his lack of goals perplexes me, only so much can be put down to bad luck and lack of chances.

At the moment I dont think either Adebayor or Torres would be classed as world class. Ade is currently playing well and scoring so you've got to be happy with him. I suppose at least with Torres he has been world class before so can perhaps get back to those heights again. Also we own Torres where as Ade will probably be off as of May. Greedy giiit!!

Don't forget though this season torres has only started about half our games his not been playing that reguarly, and i know what your saying but Rooney went a very long time without scoring last season and quite a lot of games this season, David Villa also went 18 games without scoring a goal last season, i still class them as world class players, just because you score goals don't mean your world class, i don't consider Yakubu a world class striker and he scores a lot. It's about effort, impact on the team, creating, passing and overall what they bring to the team and with Torres in the team we look 10 times better than we do without him

Torres has been quality these last few matches, his pace and creativity is helping the team score. But would rather he score the goals and not assist them. Although these are signs of his confidence progressing.

Not really just bored and fed up with seeing your stupid articles and posts aiming to try and wind people up by wumming, it's pointless causing stupid un-necessary arguments e.g. making a thread indicating spurs will flop due to injuries, all that does is rile spurs fans up and cause arguments and make chelsea fans out to look like ****s. It's pointless and pathetic

The thing is that Torres spends too much time with his back to goal. We need him to be facing the goal and playing of the last defender. He's not there to be creative. He's a striker for god's sake so let's start using him as one.

Agreed, he's been bought to score goALS. Until he does that, which I hope he does, he's been the biggest flop ever.

biggest flop ever lol obviously don't know a lot about football though. And how do you know he was bought to score goals? He might have been bought to provide us with extra pace and creativity which is what his doing, plus his scored goals, but anyway carry on writing your garbage, try up the dosage to writing garbage on our board 20times a day so you can get banned in a few days and we won't have to read **** anymore

I agree about goals not being everything and there's no doubt that there's a lot of quality to Torres' play but I guess it all comes down to how you define World Class. For me Torres was but it's been too long since he was at his best.

chelsea - over 100 years of history - I agree. I think Modric and Bale are our two World Class players, I think they'd get into almost any side in the World. Yours would be Cole and Ramires, I reckon.
