Basically the club is looking to secure young, talented players for the future and want all signings to be under 25 years of age.

maybe so that they have a resale value too. demba ba looks decent, but does any one know why he failed his medical with stoke? i cant think of many that fail them. even hargreaves passed his.

Very prolific but at 27 years of age, potentially hefty wages, transfer fee & better clubs(in Europe) being interested.. unfortunately can't see it happening.

Doesn't fit in with our u25 rule. Plus I think he would be too expensive, too much of a risk.

It's 26 and under (Willo was 26 when he signed) so Llorente just fits the bill. Anyway, they might be prepared to break it for a goalscorer, it's not an area of the team you **** about with.

jay bothroyd? good enough for this level? wow we've gone from llorente to bothroyd.

I think we should put a bid in for him. I'm not sure whether he'd come though. I want us to sign Demba Ba, he's looked class so far, hopefully West Ham will go down and we can nab him on the cheap. ;)

Might as well whack a bid in, and hope for the best, but as you say, doubt he'd come. Would love him though. Ba would be pretty class, as would Gameiro.

speaking of the championship..i know he's a moody little ****er whos me me me but i wouldn't mind seeing taarabt given a chance at old trafford. after having watched gibson, obertan and bebe for much of the season, he's got 10 times the skill the creativity these ****ers have

Taarabt couldn't get in at Tottenham before Redknapp took over there, don't think he'd be good enough for Man Utd, am sure Ferguson has his scouts working hard abroad to find the right replacements for Van Der Saar, Scholes and Giggs.

Rodwell, Bale, Young/Lennon, Henderson & someone else(Maybe Taarabt as cover/competition) would be the right replacements IMO for the severely ageing Giggs and Scholes who probably only have one more season left in them & I'm not sure which keeper would be the one to replace Van Der Saar.. maybe Buffon?

But then again they would probably star in the Championship, I mean ever Lovenkrands was useful there!

to be fair to taarabt he impressed when he played at spurs but redknapp didnt like his attitude. redknapp even said he's the most naturally talented player at spurs and some of the things that he does in training is incredible. just a lazy git tho

I'd love for us to go after Sturridge, but I can see Chelski wanting to keep hold of him. Especially considering Drogba may be shifted in the summer.

Didn't know that but convinced there are better players out there to help Man Utd improve, though he does look a cracking player in the Championship, the test will be how he plays in the Premier League next year.
