If I may take the opportunity to justfy my post, I thought it was too-good-of-an-idea to waste! It's quite light hearted anyway, we take the jibes about Holt being larger than the average Premier League Footballer quite well! Same principle.
Holt overweight! never! In all seriousness CS/PC its not normally you who would have to deal with the fall out, when the **** hits the fan its Dave and Maestro are the ones who get it in the neck from the opposition fans and sometimes your own fans for trying to settle the place down again! and because its about QPR, it does make you boys look a bit obsessed about them because they would tend to follow a different business plan than yourselves and they have the backing of TF who was interested in you guys.
Maybe the answer would be a dedicated "spoof" thread. CS is right, far too good an idea not to share!
You guys say this quite a lot but I've never really understood why. He's not the money man- being worth half a billion is small potatoes in football nowadays unfortunately- but he's done excellently in business, is very personable, is a genuine football fan (albeit West Ham) and has done absolutely nothing to suggest he'd have had a negative effect had he joined your board.
Watford_R - as others have said on other threads, I hope he is all you think he is for your sake, all we know is, at a time when we were in dire straits financially, our board saw something in him that rang alarm bells! Seriously, for your sake, I hope it works out, your main benefactor, ie the Mittals, seem very genuine! Also, I hope you see the OP as it was intended, I think it has a lot of humour with no nastiness! I hope you agree!
People need to lighten up on here. The OP was clearly just light-hearted fun and I would find a similarly clever post by a QPR fan about Holt's weight for example, equally amusing - regardless of my loyalties.
