Look there may be 5 points covering bottom to 12th but in reality it is not 3 from 9, it is 3 from 5. Those 5 are Leicester, Burnley, Hull, Villa and us. So we effectively have an even money chance of staying up. With respect to the 'incident' at Burnley, while not condoning aggressive behaviour, I do think that it has brought home to the players that the fans are frustrated. Harry as manager is responsible, but once the players cross that white line....
Looking at our remaining fixtures I'm convinced we will pick up 20-22 points. Looking at some of the other teams around us they have tougher games come April/May. If we are stuck with Harry and sneak a few good of loans (left back/wide midfield/forward), we will finish out of the relegation zone. Hull, Leicester, Burnley and Villa worse than us and we should pick up 2 away wins from the remaining 3 games against these teams. Keep the faith.
OK so like many but not all I'm bored and fed up with Harold "lost his mojo" Redknapp. The only reason why I'm not going to be too emotional about this is the very apparent lack of available alternatives right now. Lets hope this sorry episode makes Harold try to save face and finally show some much lacking passion about his job. Yes it's going to be a very tough ask trying to stay in the top flight but our other fave manager Mr Hughes managed to do it (just). For the disappointed like myself I guess we now just have to grin and bear it. Grin and bear it sadly is predominantly the more recent OPR way but despite this I will always love Rangers. Come on U RRRR'ssss! Who needs s**t like Eastenders when we get all the drama anyone could cope with being an R!
Eastenders is on the telly now, a powerful incentive to take Stan the dog for a walk, no matter how cold it is. I haven't seen it for years. It's interesting that all the women on it look like men who've lived very hard lives, and are now auditioning for a very low rent drag show. And the men look like a selection of over boiled vegetables.
This was always going to be a **** first season back, particularly having just about scraped promotion, albeit in a glorious way. Yes, yes there have been moans about the inability to plan for Remy's departure, left-backs, right-backs and Dunne needing a wider turning circle than the Amoco Cadiz, but I seem to recall many of us saying that we'd settle for 17th place this season...and that's still wholly possible. As others have already pointed out we only need three teams worse than us. Two of them could well have something to do with foxes and tigers. The teams that finish in 17th and 18th places don't generally have good seasons. Good seasons happen to also-rans that finish mid-table or above. So, if like me, you'd have taken 17th place at the start of this campaign, might I politely suggest that you adjust your expectations accordingly and resign yourself to the **** - avoidable or otherwise - that inevitably comes with such a grandstand finish?
Yeah, but what about the women in Eastenders? I mean, where do they find them? Does the casting manager have 'hard faced, gimlet eyed, exhausted looking' at the top of his/her wish list? Do they look like that in real life or do they have make up/prosthetics to create the effect? It's ****ing terrifying, I'm never going east of Clerkenwell again.
Even though I was "Harry out," I'm fully behind the team, the manager and the club. I have no other choice, but it's QPR. Of course, I want Harry to have success. Maybe if his mentality changes, things will start getting better. That's what I'm hoping for. You won't hear any more complaints from me about Harry. He's all we've got now.
Great to see a range of opinions on here as well as diverse sentiments, that's what makes this board so great. The disappointment of our position and performances makes it understandable that many feel that we are "as good as down". For those of you in this category, remember that day in May when we thought it was all but over, with extra time beckoning and hardly a Ranger's supporter looking forward to the final whistle...remember how that feeling all changed within a few "magic moments" and then we couldn't wait for the final whistle to blow, let alone actually hear it amongst the cacophony that followed OBZ's goal. Those that feel that we are able to get out of this mess, remember that we have been here before and Harry and some of the players have been through this with us or other clubs. We have to believe that we are capable of getting out of this situation and that it will take a combined effort to do so from Chairman down to every fan playing their part. What we can all be certain of is that the fans are loyal and devoted to the cause. Transfer that passion, enthusiasm and desire through our voices to those adorning the blue and white hoops on the pitch and you will witness a minor miracle. We can then breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to next season. As ever with Rangers, it's squeaky bum time first, just need to stop talking out of it!
Just believe and keep the faith..............maybe we should put QPR as a religious cult...............once you're hooked in, there's no getting out!
We've all got to believe we will get out of this mess we are in & I do, the statement today can only help our cause & not hinder it, time now to settle down & show what we are capable of, Harry's staying end of.
I think there must be some confusion Col. I've never been a Harry fan. Almost from day one I've been saying that there isn't something right about him and he's not right for our club. I remember having a discussion with sb_73 on here about it. I've rarely wanted to see any of our managers sacked and have always supported them at games however bad we've been. I don't think that qualifies me as an advocate of Redknapp's though. As far as I'm aware I've continuously questioned his attitude, team selections and mind numbing brand of football. I don't know when or where I've said anything different and if I did it must of been following a heavy session after a game.
Definitely some confusion mate. Myself and others picked up on your "bitches" comment, believing it to mean that people should stop complaining (bitching) about Redknapp. "Are we Gladiators or Bitches?" I think was how it went. Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick.
Col, if you feel your support is unwavering then clearly my post isn't aimed at you! I'm talking about the twitter campaign that is unwittingly going on simply by our own fans going in to melt down. Then you have a few QPR fans who write for national papers who are the ones writing the negative stuff about Rednapp. The ones who are verbally attacking TF at a time when he's got more important things to worry about. What is written in a forum has 0 effect on anyone! These fans need to ask themselves, as unhappy as they are, do they think the way they're carrying on is in any way going to improve the situation we are in. Personally I don't think getting rid of Rednapp will help us in the slightest as there is no one available who's any better. I don't like him as a person, but neither do I hate him. Do I wish we were in a better position, of course, but we're not. I just think a lot of our fans do themselves an injustice, as once upon a time we made a difference as we all stood behind the team, just like you col, no matter what the circumstance and got behind the team. I'm just trying to emphasise that once there was no arguing like this, just the common goal. Why has that changed?
