You would think that Manchester United being a champions league club would be signing Champions league standard players. Neither Young or Jones aren't even Europa League standard players. De Gea is Europa league standard. Although I cannot see the doom and gloom that the City fan saw regarding Manchester United, the days of them obtaining the best players just because Alex Ferguson wants them are long gone.

He won't get RVP until he meets the asking price. Even though its steep for a 29 year old in the last year of his contract and he is susceptible to injuries. The last 18 months are the longest he's stayed fit consistently. Who is to say that he will have another 18 months like that? The odds aren't in his favour. However its what Arsenal want. Fergie paid for Ronney earlier then expected because Newcastle had a bid of 20 million pounds rejected for Rooney, Fergie had to jump in and bid for him but remember him saying that he signed Rooney a year or 2 earlier then he wanted to but his hand was forced by Newcastle by having their bid made public and were going to raise the bid to get Rooney on board before the August window closed, when Newcastle 's offer was rejected Rooney put in a transfer request hence why Fergie had to buy Rooney earlier.
