Eric Cantona has gone on record as saying that Man U are the only Club he would want to Manage. Actually I think he said they were the only Club that would be good enough for his qualities and ego. :smiley-finger007:

I am putting a few quid on Moyes.

Was told a month or so ago by a mate's cousin (media type in Liverpool) that Moyes had already agreed to leave Everton in summer and has there blessing. its common knowledge in that area that he is off, but no-one knew were as Fergie looked set for a couple of years (Arsenal was banded about) Martinez is been looked at by Everton as his replacement.

That would be fun. Cantona has wonderful line in philosophie de la morue and he would be an endless source of quotes and soundbites.

As much as I hate Man U, and Fergie in particular, I have nothing but respect for him and the job he has done at that club and wish him all the best in his retirement

Who ever it is they will still have to work in SAF's shadow. I saw on the BBC he will remain a director. Somehow feel that will make the incoming managers job quite hard. Moyles managing Rooney once again? maybe?

The situation proposed would certainly rule out José Mourinho.

Chris Moyles? That would be a shock.

I think that Mourinho is more likely to go to Man Utd than Chelsea. Chelsea is a different club to the one Mourinho left. Jose likes to rule the roost, but he couldn't do that at Chelsea now. There was a power struggle with Abramovich previously. Transfers and scouting have been taken out of the manager's hands now. Jose likes to be in charge of that. The guy that is in charge of that (who's name escapes me) is rumoured to be very difficult to get on with, and had a big falling out with Ancellotti, who is one of the most laid back people in football.

I don't think Jose's ego would let him go back but not be in charge.

    Moyes, Klopp or Laudrup.

I'm putting a few quid on Laudrup.

Laudrup will never take over. It will be someone who's proved themselves here or on the continental stage over a decent period of time. I think moyes and mourinho are the only real candidates.

    Who knows but unlikely.

SAF is going to carry on with all MU summer transfer business before he goes. SSN report.

SAF goes into hospital when MU head off on there Far East pre-season tour.

The media are saying that he had a heart flutter after the Real Madrid game and that made SAF mind up to go.

Well he is only going upstairs and to be the MU Ambassador. DAVID MOYES is the odds on favourite now.

Antonio Conte? Not a bad one.

How about Bayern's current manager, Jupp Heynckes? He said he was going to retire, but I'm sure an offer to manage Man Utd wouldn't be turned down...

Breaking news. After Fergie's announcement, Howard Webb is now considering his position at the club

If Fergie is at a loose end, he might want to pop down and give Brucie a hand at the training sessions? Help with hairdryers and stuff...

Mental morning for the bookies - Mouriniho originally backed into 2-1 fav ahead of Moyes at 7/2. Then lots of money for Moyes pushed his price into evens - and now the Manchester BetFred have taken several (very large) bets of Steve Bruce @ 12s and he's been pushed into outright favourite at 2/7.

Not really 'outside'. Being talked about quite a lot in Italy and he's seen as red hot favourite for Chelsea should Jose go to Man Utd. I personally think he's using it as a bargaining tool to get some serious spending power to make a Champions League challenge next season. He's 'too Juve' to leave right now.
