No doubt the FA will be running round like headless chickens this morning cause SAF is upset. His over the top reaction to the RVP incident will have them panicking to find a solution to appease him. As well as the fact that his team didn't win so its the referees fault, likely they will relegate Oliver as well. Personally, I think it was quite funny. Not the ball hitting RVP (well it was quite funny) but when he gets up to confront Williams he gets tripped by Chico, that bit seemed to be overlooked. But rest assured Fergie will get his own way.
There was nothing funny about that ball hitting RVP. williams hit the ball so hard knowing that RVP was near the ball on the ground. IMO it was done with malicious intent. I thought it was only Suarez that was capable of doing that!
i should imagine Williams and fergus will both be charged over this. Fergus did have a point it was dangerous to a degree, but he is obviously exaggerating and going to milk it, he should be fined for his comments about the ref though no other manager is allowed an opinion on the ref so neither should he, although it is about time the refs do have to justify their decisions on things and if they are poor which is happening more and more in games the FA need to do something but they are a joke themselves, and Williams will be charged for dangerous and foul play(is that the technical term?)
I don't think it's the fact the ball was kicked and hit RVP, I think the biggest issue here is once again, the hypocrisy. Maybe if SAF was to take a look closer to home before casting his expert opinion on players from other teams. I fail to recall hearing SAF call for a lengthy ban when Cantona kung-fu kicked the palace fan. Nor was he so forth coming when Keane broke Hangaaland's leg. What about when Fergie himself kicked a bookt and it hit Beckham, was this life threatening? I actually don't get wound up by Fergie anymore, I actually think he's mellowed a bit in his old age. He's actually becoming alot like doddering old man who wants to sit with everyone on the pub and then continues to piss them off - Endearing in a way. Keep up the good work Fergie, without you, the word Hypocrisy would surely disappear from the English ditcionary
Alfe-Inge Haaland (Knew it was something similar) but yeah, career ending challenge went unrecorded by SAF
Ok, you finally got the name right. Keane booted his knee. Haaland later retired from an injury to his opposite knee. But let's not let that ruin your story.
You are joking yeah? His bone was hanging out of his leg! He took him out at the shin - But like you say, why let facts back up a story when it supports my original post - By the way, if all you can use is the fact I got the name wrong in the first place, your argument is as flawed as your facts - Eh ho, merry christmas!
No, it wasn't and no he didn't. You got ALL of your story wrong, not just the name. You're talking rubbish.
You're right the bone wasn't hanging out of his leg but I thought as it was now the norm to over exagerate incidents (A trend being started by SAF himself) I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. Haalnad did fail to play another full league game following the incident. Kean also stated on numerous occasions and in his autobiography that he had "waited a long time to do that, and meant it 100%" As a Glory hunter, you will fail to see the hypocrisy in SAF's statement and won't see anything bad said about Utd. But, the truth is there to see. I find it so very amusing to watch Fergie now, he really does appear to be losing it. The ref more than likely won't officiate another Utd game this season following Fergie's outburst. Which is a joke in itself - Don't punish Fergie for his derogatory comments about the ref, punish the ref instead - I can see how this one is going to pan out already!
Ruffian - I know you are as passionate as any fan but if I was defending this in any way I would need to take a long hard look at myself... Keane was proud of his act of vengeance, and wanted the world to know that it was 100% deliberate. In his autobiography, he wrote: "I'd waited long enough. I ****ing hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that you ****. And don't ever stand over me sneering about fake injuries. Even in the dressing room afterwards, I had no remorse. My attitude was, **** him. What goes around, comes around. He got his just rewards. He ****s me over and my attitude is an eye for an eye
ruff... ashely williams is the self same mouth peice who decided to have a go at suarez to get some publicity so I for one have no time for him at all... but i can see he didn't really mean to take RVP out there. ferguson is hugely OTT.
Its no secret that I dont like Ashley Williams. He openly admitted that he got so frustrated marking Suarez they he was tempted to injure him. 3 Match ban and a big telling off i say.
What about this one then: please log in to view this image Must make this the second most dangerous thing. Hell even kicking the boot at Beckham's face gets bumped down to 3rd now.
Classic Ferguson this the senile old ****er's lost more marbles than the Greeks. Do his players need so much protection that they can't even take a modern fly-away footy to the back of the head. This fella grew up in Glasgow ffs where a casey to the face was considered a xmas present not attempted murder The daft old twat's gone soft. Made my day yesterday that did (especially when van P **** his kex when Williams fronted him). Any of you manks know if RvP will be out injured for your next game with his serious head wound only he's in my fantasy team?
