Canary-Dave, you came here tonight thinking you were going to moderate on Not606. Well, old friend, we have taxi waiting to take you to BBC Television Centre where you meet old friends,. . . Hang on, wrong Eamon Andrews show. Lady Isobel, Gilbert Harding, Barbara Kelly and David Nixon were the panellists. Will the next contestant sign in please. Lady Isobel got done for shoplifting. Posh totty with sticky fingers.
She certainly did redruth. Think she lived in Leicester as well. Wasn't David Nixon a magician? Was it David Jacobs that hosted the colour version?
Yes David Nixon had his own magic show on TV. And Jacobs did it after Eamon defected to ITV. CRACKERJACK!
He certainly did. Trouble is you listened to it on the radio and you thought, by his commentary, that the British boxer should have won. Then you saw it on Pathe News at the flicks and the Brit had his head hanging off!
2 Scottish accents obviously confused Bennett and Barnett, seems like a lot of Barry Fry barrow boy dealing to me, if there is a contract it is in writing all else is worthlesss
Putting my union secretary hat on here. A verbal contract is equal in law to a written one but just harder to prove.
the more i think about this the less i think we've done anything wrong at all. if we had an injury crisis at the back then i could understand us digging our heels in but we don't have major problems and if we'd said to them they could have barnett on loan and he'd agreed it would have just happened. there is literally no reason for us to block an agreed move.
Without getting too technical any contract is verbal, that just means uses words, spoken contract is an "Oral Contract" which is only a legal agreement if both sides acknowledge the oral contract, this is because a court can only amend terms of a contract not create one between parties. Given that our position is that no such agreement existed then there is no contract. Disclaimer: I am not a contract lawyer, nor do I work for Goldman Sachs
There is adequate consideration for a contract to exist. We get the player and they get money and the player for a month. The courts don't have sympathy for how fair it is.
