Kelly will be moved to centre half in my opinion, he only played right back against Arsenal because Flanagan had a bit of a mare 2nd half against Sunderland and it would've been risky putting him up against an experienced Arshavin. Surely that's the point with the Rooney situation, the FA have no clue what they're doing, so they panic everytime they're put under a bit of pressure from the media to do something and they come up with some rubbish resolution that doesn't suit anyone and makes little sense to anyone analysing the decision. I think the clear difference with Rooney was he deliberately sent the message down the camera, while other players they just shout it and you hear it even though its not directed at the camera. It was still a ridiculous decision, but it was different to the usual shouts of "****ing get in" etc.
Hello KPRhman Exactly. Which is not how the game should be run. With the FA kowtowing to the tabloid press every time there's a high profile incident involving Utd (or any other club / manager, we are just the highest profile one although Arsenal have started getting some ****ty treatment recently), and just making the rules up as they go along, is it any wonder SAF feels the FA treats us like ****? After all, Rooney only got a two match ban cos the referee claimed he would have sent Rooney off had he heard him swearing. Which we all know is complete bollocks - Barton told the same ref to **** off a couple of weeks later and didn't even get booked.
What a load of bollocks. Not only do you get anything but a raw deal from the FA (look at us FFS) but out of the 49 players to play for England in the last 12 months a far from significant total of 2 came from your academy, less than ours.
