Sky are apparently showing him doing it, Terry extended his hand multiple times and Park blanked him.

Respect is a very big thing in the far East so that will probably be a massive story over there.

Quite right Flyer, culturally this is a massive thing for Park to have done, and it would have cost him a lot of soul searching.

Seems pretty clear to me that both Terry and Cole perjured themselves in court - as the magistrate said, their explanations were 'unlikely' but, in effect, they could not be proved to be lying. In the case of Cole and his actions after the original game, Anton knows the truth so I'm not surprised he's pissed off and the entire Ferdinand clan were apparently stunned when Cole claimed, under oath, to be a good friend of the family. In the case of Terry, he admitted to using the offending phrase. That is all the FA need to ban him, the intent isn't relevant.

While I am as sick of this as the rest of us, I think it's great for the team that Park made this gesture of solidarity. Wonder if he discussed it with anyone else before?

Gordon Taylor says handshakes argument is like a 'mafia feud'

Anton Ferdinand's refusal to shake John Terry's hand resembles a "mafia feud", says Professional Footballers' Association chairman Gordon Taylor.
The controversy dominated the pre-match build-up, and mirrored similar incidents with Terry and Wayne Bridge, and Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra.
Taylor told BBC Radio 5 live: "We have to move on. These things will separate us and become like some mafia feud."
The 67-year-old also insisted pre-match handshakes should remain.

You slagged me off on the chelsea board when I was winding them up. Far as I am concerned you are chelsea in disguise. Why oh why would you go and kiss their ass on their board? Do not see your motivation. Don;t really care anyway BTW - your need for Chelsea affection is just plain bizarre as is your understanding of the AT incident. So many others have said it - but if you were called something that you found really offensive at work (this is not in dispute) and a disciplinary hearing at work said get on with it - you'd shake their hand? WTF?

Psychological projection or projection bias is a psychological defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people. Thus, projection involves imagining or projecting the belief that others originate those feelings.
Projection reduces anxiety by allowing the expression of the unwanted unconscious impulses or desires without letting the conscious mind recognize them.
An example of this behavior might be blaming another for self failure. The mind may avoid the discomfort of consciously admitting personal faults by keeping those feelings unconscious, and by redirecting libidinal satisfaction by attaching, or "projecting," those same faults onto another person or object.
According to Sigmund Freud, projection is a psychological defense mechanism whereby one "projects" one's own undesirable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else. 'Emotions or excitations which the ego tries to ward off are "split out" and then felt as being outside the ego...perceived in another person'. It is a common process. The related defense of 'projective identification' differs from projection in that the impulse projected onto an external object does not appear as something alien and distant from the ego because the connection of the self with that projected impulse continues'.

So,,,, by putting Chelsea can kiss my ass as your moto - you are projecting that really you demonstrate the desire to put your face firmly in the buttocks of the Chelsea Scum

Interesting theory that LaLa. But it was more due to the fact that Sooper and North tore into me for having a "QPR shaking hands with Chelsea" Sig.

But its good to see you exercising your brain. Well done you!
