"The precedent was set long before, 2002 I do believe with John Mackie, Suarez was not the first and I very much doubt he will be the last.2

Indeed. I meant the tariff though.

"so guess repeating it 7 times is a costume too back in Uruguay !!"

I assume you mean custom? Let's make this 100% clear - there is absolutely no incontravertable evidence that Suarez said negro/nigga/blackie or any other insult more than once, and the only evidence he said that was from Suarez's own mouth. even after he knew there was no cctv or other evidence of him saying it at all. Evra himself never used the figure seven, and neither did Ferguson when he reported Suarez calling Evra a 'nigga' to the referee while Evra himself was standing there and damn well knew he hadn't but didn't correct him.

This is the one thing about the whole affair that bothers me the most, and the one thing that went unquestioned by everybody (the Powar's, Carlisle's Taylor's, etc). This blatant and knowingly incorrect statement by Fergie was the one thing that kicked the whole thing off after the game. The ****ing ****house even got the fourth official to write down the word '******s' on a piece of paper, and that **** Evra just stood there nodding in agreement, whilst knowing full well that he was ****in lying through his teeth!

So we had Evra kicking it off on the pitch, Fergie kicking it off after the game...and there is still no evidence for Evra's allegations and both he and Fergie knew after teh game that their statement to the officials was a load of ****...yet Suarez was still charged and Evra was seen as a reliable witness!

It annoys me that this initial reporting of the incident is overlooked as if it is trivial, it is not, it is what the case was based on, and that was a ****ing lie by Evra and Fergie, and a lie that they both knew about whilst they were single-handedly tearing down any good that the 'kick-it-out' campaign had achieved over the years...just so they could get one over on Suarez...****in embarrassing ****houses, hiding behind lies like kids who want to get someone in trouble, and yet everyone bought it, and still do!

When Fergie realised that the word ****** had not been used, why did he not report this afterwards, instead of letting it continue? It seems as if he was happy for the word to be used, rather than actually admitting that he was actually 100% wrong about it! If racism was the issue then why would a Knight of the Realm, a man who is supposedly a role model and an ambassador for football, let such a blatant miscarriage continue? ****ing ****house! :)

"The Ligali Organisation is opposed to the institutionalised usage of the label ‘black’ as a racial
epithet to describe African people by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the
Commission for Racial Equality (CRE). The assertion that African heritage is a superficial
aesthetic representing nothing but a colour perpetuates the derogatory myth that African
culture is of no value whilst failing to reflect the geo-political reality of African people’s
identity. It is disrespectful and disempowering to label the cultural identity of any person by
use of a single homogenous colour particularly if this label is historically linked with negative,
social and cultural connotations and associations. Britain’s historic use of colour coding to
label all non European peoples remains ineffective in espousing the diversity within minority
communities. Furthermore its institutionalised usage in British education and state media
cultivates and perpetuates cultural ignorance and racism."

Don't want to be simplistic, but this is EVERYTHING I've said in this thread and others and have been called a racist, a Nazi, a KKK member and various other puerile, knee-jerk reaction. I only hope Carlisle, Ouesley, Blissett, Samuel, Lawton, Holt and all the other race-stirrers can read this too.

donga, i posted the link to 'ligali' only to show shwan and others that "negro" is not a racist term and therefore you me or anyone else can not be procecuted for saying it, Drogs made the point earlier that if someone did say it to a black person they would flip(rightly so)

But there are posters of different clubs in denial and trying to justify their players references to ethnicity and skin colour on this thread.

We all will never agree but it should be noted that these posters are responding as we did in defence of their players and after the hammer falls will just like us demand equality in the future if the charge rears its head again.

Absolutely. No wonder Goulding, the FA and the press want to label people who point out all the holes obsessives and nit-pickers; the more you read the actuall 115 page report (and not just the self-serving summary) the more and more evra's story falls to pieces. The latest I spotted was that Evra accepted later (after he reviewed the evidence with the FA) that Suarez never said 'nigga' as there is no such word in Spanish, and that it must have indeed been 'negro' or it's Spanish interpretation of 'Black/blackie. YET, when he was booked and Giggs calmed he down, Giggs said in evidence that Evra said he'sd been called black (by Kuyt, so Giggs thought Evra meant at the time), and indeed Marriner later recollects that evra said something about being called black. AT NO STAGE DOES EVRA SAY HE'S BEEN CALLED NIGGA _ HE SAYS IMMEADIATELY AFTERWARDS HE'S BEEN CALLED BLACK.

So he knows, from right off, he's NEVER been called nigga.

Oh how we wish this had been to a real court...:emoticon-0112-wonde

Because Rio is basically saying the black man should back another black man against a white man, if he doesn't he'll be branded an extremely offensive word like choc ice or bounty. Uncle Tom is the original phrase I believe.

Clearly racism, lets hope they throw the book at him, disrupt United's season, see how they like it when the boots on the other foot.

Then we can all boo him for 8 months.

United are a bunch of cheating bastards that lie. They place success above morality and are an absolute disgrace to the game.

Bacon face should never have been knighted, the man is absolute low life.

<applause> I am glad that some of us continue to stand up for what is right.

we have been through this though havent we..my point is that is why he is regarded as a choc ice..and Terry was not guilty..yes he was...but because of lack of evidence more than because he didnt do anything..but as with so much in life..we the common folk..usually know what went on..and thats why Rio had an issue with Mr Choc ice..because he knows that it is very likely that Terry being the abnoxious twat that he is ..probably did make a racist remark..plus lets not forget ..his brother Anton probably filled him in on the inside details..so taking all this into account...Rio probably felt as though a black man should not support someone who has racist tendencies even if he might have gotten away with it.....this is not about what happened in court really..this is about a black man who did not support the bigger issue..he would have been better off staying out of it...but to the common black man...bar the odd chelsea fan..Cashley is and rightly so...a choc ice.......

this has got nothing to do with King.........poor do with your paki bashing jibe....im of asian and black decent.....and i have no issue with Ledley...diversion tactics are poor by chelsea fans..as a coloured man i totally understand why rio called him a choc ice......

So black people should stick together then right? Not being funny but I have had run-ins with you before, I have to say, you are an idiot of the highest order.

Rio should be charged!

By saying Ashley is a Choc Ice implies that his support of Terry was in some way showing 'whiteness' (whatever the **** that is.)

He stood by him as a team mate and nothing to do with skin colour. I take offence to Ashleys cupport being deemed as being in some way white.

Most of the country thought (inlcuding myself) that Terrys actions and words were disgusting, but Rio bringing colour into it is just as bad.....

If a choc Ice Is a black man who acts in a white way, then surely any black man who adopts British culture by playing, football, cricket etc etc is guilty of being a choc ice.....Of course this is not true, as each and every person on the planet has the right to act and do as they see fit.......And if others dont like it they should keep their opinions to them selves....Rio acted like an arrogant muppet and deserves everything he gets.... I also hope Terry gets a lengthy ban aswell, as should anyone who makes race an issue in sport or any other aspect of life.

Ignoring the first sentence and basing this purely on football. How can you say with a straight face that Ferguson is a disgrace, he has built a dynasty at OT. The bloke is a genius.

Grow the **** up you utter moron.

Bacon face? Low life?

KPR seemed to use words those pretty often when he was here. Must just be a coincidence eh!

Problem with Baz is he was a previous poster called KPR who was a mod and is showing his true colours when he makes posts like that. An utter lowlife who made disgraceful comments against United.

We all know it is the same person.

United fans get touchy when you tell the truth.

Standing up for an anti-white racist. Whatever next?
