Tend to do a lot of walking when on holiday. Other than if I go to Spain in high season when it’s too hot to move. That said last year we went to Lo Pagan in Spain which is all on the flat and went in April so wasn’t too hot. We basically set off after breakfast and stopped for a cana at every bar we walked past. Ended up in big town smashed walking back at 9 at night. I fell off a really high curb twisted my ankle. So the next day I hobbled to a pharmacy only to be disapppointed you can no longer buy codeine over the counter. Asked the pharmacist in client Spanish the strongest pain killers they could sell me. Ended up with diclofenac, naproxen and metamizol (which is banned over here) so promptly took a cocktail of meds and went about my day drinking though not walking far. Ended up in a karaoke club, by midnight the mrs was up singing I fainted and smacked my head on the bar.
Yeah. I'm beginning to long for the days when Hiag made futile attacks on piskie every day. Way better than blister sock discussions.
I thought about posting about my problems with constant ulcers on my feet a couple of years ago but decided you've all had far too much entertainment for one day .
Was too hot and hay fever bad so got up to take allergy pill, and then logged on as wide awake. Why were you awake
Bit gay but.... put nail polish on your toe nails to strengthen them. It won't happen then. Oh, and decent footwear wouldn't hurt either.
It was always footie that did mine in. Once had to have one that I had damaged removed by a doctor. He had to give me 6 injections in my toe before he cut it out. Problem is if you dont get them seen to properly they grow back at weird angles. Secret to keeping them intact while walking is good fitting boots, making sure you keep your feet dry by having changes of socks after they get wet and keeping the nails short. No reason why you should have problems with nails even if you do loads of walking. Blisters are another matter. Again washing in warm soapy water. Normally helps. If they do open up make sure you plaster them over as they will become infected.
Actually, according to my Mrs. Nail polish weakens the nail. When the Polish begins to wear off it leaves behind a weaker nail. So unless you're planning on permanently wearing polish you go through a period of extra weak nails once the Polish wears off

Lots of lads did it too protect their toe nails whilst playing footy, definitely strengthens them. Whether that's temporary or not is another matter
... with that said... It was quite common in my uni for guys to ironically paint their fingernails colours. (Colours like green and blue, not traditional reds and pinks like the ladies) There was a bit of a fad one year when it seemed everyone was doing it. I didn't.
