I'm struggling to imagine how and why the arseling is having to borrow a few hundred quid to get by when he's been on what, 30K a week for some time now? If it's gambling I could understand it because that can be a bottomless pit that will swallow up any amount of money but if it's just mismanagement and poor decision making...baffling.

He must be one stupid son of a bitch.

i make decent money in my 2 jobs. I could, if I tightened the strings, probably save around 800 a month. But I don’t. I live to my means. Most people do. When I was 22 I lived above my means! Wasted most of my earnings despite my required outgoings being far less than my income. My guess is he’s done the same. On a far higher level (I wasted mine on computers and cars. He’s probably wasted his on far more expensive items)

When you earn it, at that age, you think it’ll last forever. He’s being bitten hard now. If I had 30k a YEAR at his agent I’ve have wasted most of it (was on around 11k back then)

30k a week I’d have probably drank myself to death in 2 or 3 weeks! Footballers live on a different plane to the us working class

I resemble that remark, Marcus. But this is on a different level. Unless he’s gambled it away ( which would suggest he needs some help for his addiction ) then I can’t imagine he’s not put some of those earnings into tangible assets he can liquidate. There are no quotes in the article so could also be utter rubbish floated by his agent to drum up interest - clubs could be duped into thinking ‘he’s got some skills and he’s a bit desperate, let’s get him in for a trial and try to take his eye’s out’. Once he’s got his foot in the door the agent will try to turn the tables on the club. No news is bad news! On a human level it’s quite tragic if true, there should be more onus on the whole professional structure to provide more pastoral care for these young immature people suddenly gifted vast amounts of money.

Yeah true I wouldn't have exactly been a paragon of virtue if I was getting 30K a week in my twenties. I like to think I'd have acquired some assets though, if he's spent it on a fleet of cars for example can't he sell some of them? Unless it's gambling he must have something to show for it even if he was too dumb to save any of it.

Bear in mind he wont have had any income for the last ten weeks, at least.

Even at a net £25K a week that's quite a shortfall out of your pocket while the bills still have to be paid.

I dont give a flying one whether he lived within his means or beyond his means I am absolutely delighted if the reports are true and the c*nt is struggling.

Why doesnt he ask his agent for a loan? The c*nt made enough out of the transfer fee,

Agents are the scourge of the modern game. Answer to nobody and screw anyone they want. Sad reality. Take loads of money out of the game and none of it goes back in. Ever!!

My first job was on £5,350 a year in 1984. Sounds crap, but beer was 50p a pint in London (£4+ now) and I lived at home, so zilch overheads. Never felt as rich since...!

If N'Dong has been on £30k a week that's about £15 1/2k a week after tax & NICs, plus he'll have other deals as well. If he's bumming off his mates after earning that for the past few years he's definitely been a twat.

Isn't there a rule that these children should be seen and not heard?
