BREAKING: As per journalist Gerry Malone, the owners of Hull City are poised to take a 70% majority stake in Dundalk FC. Should this come to fruition, it is expected that the remaining 30% will be made up of the current ownership, with local input on the board.
We've done well with Irish players over the years, so happy to see us tap into that market. Also allows the young lads to get first team experience at a younger age which can only benefit them. Feeder clubs and sports villages, what's not to like?
Acun has always wanted to own a team in the European competitions, Dundalk have played in the Champions League, Europa League and the Europa Conferences leagues many times.
As has been said, excellent for those coming through, better surely than playing for Stalybridge Celtic (first one that came to mind)...
A few weeks ago Acun's plane was in Belfast, I thought at the time it was a bit odd, probably know why now.
... And the European qualification scenario probably helps towards visa points and if we loan out, gives our young lads the opportunity against quality oppo without begrudgingly hoping Grimsby go on a cup run again. Win win.
Double **** then. He hadn't posted when i'd posted the link but I see what you mean now i've read it.
Far too many on here get triggered by a minority sport on its arse. Just ignore it. Give it a decade it'll probably have all gone AI online. I mean RL that is. As a distinct entity. 2 codes need to come together and combined resources for both. sorry mate but you know its not sustainable as it is in its current form.. Either code.
Dundalk are the Lilly Whites. If he's a Dundalk fan living in Hull then Hull White makes perfect sense..... He does talk **** mind.
Can't agree with you there mate being a Rovers fan. Don't want an amalgamation with Union or us with the darksiders
TBF neither did I until I googled it after I noticed one of their other posters also had white in his name.
