Come on Swamp, this is a discussion on our board, not English clubs. What they think is irrelevant to us. I'm sure they would love us too!!!! Not.

its not irrelevant m8 because 80% of the national papers are sold to them, and its their views which are most important <ok>

ronnie:
I've lost count of the number of times I've been over to Ireland and I haven't been anywhere else where I've been made to feel so welcome (both in NI and Eire). Only one hint of trouble once up in Derry but that ended as soon as they found out I was Welsh, non-political and just over there visiting friends for the craic... then it was apologies and 'have a pint' from then on.
We all have our opinions and reasons why but I disagree that all the Irish hate the British. Yes, you'll get those still clinging to the historical past but from personal experience, most have moved on and the majority of those I've met weren't bothered in the first place. Because of those experiences, I'll back the Irish over the English in the Euros
<ok>

This is not the place to discuss the "Irish Question"............as Cromwell said, answer the question and the Irish change it.

I served in the Army and did some service in N Ireland..........I have stood in the street and been spat at by some people,

others have brought me out a cup of tea................you can't tar all people with the same brush.

I have some very good friends friends who are "Cardiff Irish" and have been to Eire to watch the egg chasing in their company...........I met some of the most warm, welcoming people I have ever met...........I also met some arseholes.

I have more reason to "hate" the Irish than most,,,,,,,,,,,not playing the drama queen, but if you have one of your best friends die in your arms at 22 years of age then it tends to cloud your judgement. Of course I "hated" the Irish for a time..........then I realised that it is not the Irish that I hated, but the fanatics (from either side).

The Irish are like any other race..........there are good and bad. Good luck to Eire, not because they are Irish.........but it's nice to see the smaller "underdogs" do well.

Probably said too much,,,,,,,,,,,,,a football forum not a political forum after all Sorry

proph that post was a good read but at the end of the day my point still stands <ok>

its nothing to do with the irish people or anything, just numbers <ok>

Said too much, sorry not the time or the place, we all have our own opinions,

but any Bluebird deserves respect..............not a dig at you Swamp

but everyone else seems to hate us (jealousy?)

lets not fall out amongst ourselves

I respect every one elses opinions.............but at the end of the day we are all bound together by our love for Cardiff City

how sad does that sound?
