Very true JWM but they all had quality, whether these were players fit or not or the right players for us as I said Jewell didn't build a balanced squad (in many ways), that is not what I'm getting at!! I do think Jewell has a better eye for spotting talent than Mick and when it comes off pretty much like our performances under him it was very good (i.e Wigan where he bought some very talented players) but when it doesn't work it's pretty awful Mick is much more solid and pretty sure he could get any set of players solid and competing!!
Only time will tell just how good these signings will be but I what I do know is that with Mick in charge we will be in a far better shape this time next year!
This just about sums the whole thing up for me. We certainly can't ask for more than someone like McGoldrick. Bang in form. And we are very thin on the ground, particularly up front and at the back so actually we need some in just to make the numbers up. PJ and Keano would still be scratching their heads at this juncture and then in the final week of the window settle for anyone who is willing to sign.
