If either of those two options where correct at least it would show some sort of forethought and planning. ..no matter how malignant and venal.

My concern is...its the sheer depth and magnitude of the incompetence being shown, combined with the classless, zhc, tawdry, tat that ( I won't say ..'our' club) that NUFC shop Inc. Has become..

These feckers have had nigh on 7 months to get it planned and sorted. And they can't even manage to appoint a coach. It's pathetic.

Like the coaches and players, you would have to be insane to want anything to do with us. I wouldnt touch this club either if I had any choice in the matter

    Rotten to its core.

Another thing that has pee'd me off was the way we treated Mbiwa. Don't think we really gave him his chance in his proper position, CB. In one minute out the next and it's noticable how he's gone on since arriving at Roma. Ended up playing 37 matches and ended up a hero after scoring the winning goal against local rivals Lazio to finish runners up and securing a Champions League place. He must be laughing at us now.

People say that he admitted the PL was too physical. If anything, Serie A is very physical. Pardew simply didn't rate him. He preferred that useless Argentinian.

I'm starting to realize this is all planned boys. Carver never got the sack. Its all a season ticket scam. These other coaches are being low balled just like the players we try to sign. Were gonna take back carver and stone because we couldn't get a coach over the line. Ashley's gotta be having a huge laugh.

So far the Jim Bowen "here's what you could've won" list is:

Andre Ayew, Andre-Pierre Gignac, Danny Ings, Micah Richards, Juanmi, Charlie Austin, Deulofeu, Pedro Obiang.

Correct. It wasn't just physicality. It was the pace of the game he couldn't cope with. his brain was fried all the time. Him and Colo specialise in the moronic "lets see what happens if I sprint out of defence with no thought of whats going on around me" regime. He was ****. His passing was baffling at best. He looked bewildered why a football wouldn't travel through bone and sinew. It didn't stop him trying. He couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Though he also got dropped by Roma last season mid way through, overall it has been a big success. I think you have to give the lad credit for just admitting England was not for him. Perhaps Italy will improve him. You get a lot more time, and they are very good coaches of defenders. Richards looked an improved player at Fiorentina too.

Horses for courses. England wasn't for Mapou and his game went to pieces. All this "centre back" stuff is a bit of nonsense too. He played all over for Montpellier (including a full season at right back and defensive mid in the CL). He was supposed to be a utility defender. He didn't play well in any of positions.

The problem was never getting shot, it was once again not buying a proper replacement. Or just using the money wisely in the ****ing first place. People keep going back to Mbiwa and its boring. Even when the **** admitted he didn't want to be here and didn't like the game here, people were saying "ah buts thats because we didn't treat him right". No its because as he says he didn't want to be here, it ain't bloody rocket science.

Don't think the other Frenchies liked him either. Hence why I saw him wandering about by himself in the airport, while Anita, Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Obertan, Tiote etc etc, who weren't exactly flying to the same destinations, were all going round together in a group. We assume players are ****e because we see them on a field for 90 minutes and we make up our mind, but there's lots of important aspects going on in the background we'll never be aware of. For me, Mbiwa just didn't fit in, though I still believe he's a talented player with potential.

Just because you don't cut it in England doesn't mean you aren't talented. Our football isn't the be all and end worldwide. Indeed many just don't understand why we play football like we do. Why we make it such a physical challenge. We obviously reject that notion because we are brought up on it and many believe sport is at its best when full tilt. I include myself in that.

There can be a load of factors also like you say. I was listening to Ronny O'Sullivan talking about his various demons. Here is a guy with probably some of the most talent in the history of his sport, chuck a few spanners in away from the game, and it all goes to pot. Sport is a mental challenge too. We hear uplifting stories of players who have managed to put all sorts to one side and perform. However I bet there are countless more dips in form or struggles explained by the exact same thing.

As you say we have the ease of just judging what we see. Its probably not all that simple. To be fair mind, I wouldn't want sat next to Obertan on a plane. If he gets tired and rests that head on your shoulder, bang goes your rotator cuff.

22nd June and still McClaren remains the only bit of news we've had. Well, apart from the 3 assistant's saying 'no thanks'.

Read the most insane piece of optimism so far the other day, with one website claiming the club COULD have already agreed deals for coaches/players and are simply awaiting 1st July to announce them. Wilfully ignoring the fact contractual pre-agreements can actually be announced in advance is a level of optimism I can only dream of.

Nothing stopping clubs from entering into pre-contract arrangements with others clubs and players. Agree the fee, agree personal details and get everything signed. July 1st is the date when you can officially register new players. Basically, mssrs Charnley and Carr are doing **** all. We are no doubt scouting some 16 year old playing for some Albanian 22nd division side who has 'potential.' Potential judged by that talisman and gauge of talent, Herr Carr. The guy that identified Roman Amalfitano as a future PL star. The club make you absolutely sick. Our pre-season programme starts in a few weeks and the players are due back for pre-season training over the next couple. If they really think that the likes of Gouffran, Williamson, Obertan and Sammy will flourish under McClaren, sparing the need for new signings, then they really are absolute ****ing morons. Start spending some ****ing money. Stop haggling over a couple of million and sign some ****ing quality players.

You've dodged a huge bullet by the way, if it's true that Steve Round has turned you down. That guy is the ****ing worst assistant head coach in all of football, including Carver. He sat there nodding enthusiastically non-stop for a year at Old Trafford under Moyes, he couldn't have been more out of his depth if he was a midget swimming in Niagara Falls. Total prat.

Still not ready to jump on this band waggon, Cabaye, Tiote, De Jong, Cisse, Ba, Santon were all announced at a moments notice, the first the press knew of the deals were when they were pictured holding the shirt.

It's what we do best, we normally do deals without them breaking early and creating a bidding war. Each day that Austin goes without signing for West Ham, Southampton, Chelsea etc our hand gets stronger. By all accounts he wants to stay in London, but more importantly he'll want to stay in the Premier League. If it's us or QPR it'll be us every time.

The only player we could have realistically signed (and that I'd have wanted us to sign) is Micah Richards, even then though his primary position is RB and we have Janmaat. Richards has said first team football was important to him so he's hardly going to come here to warm the bench.

I didn't want Ayew or Gignac and we never had a chance with Ings. He was always going to Liverpool.

Dost, Austin, Berahino are good targets to be having, however it wouldn't surprise me if none of them are actually targets. If McLaren doesn't have his coaching team in by the end of this week I'd be very surprised. I'd be even more surprised if we didn't have at least one big signing by the end of the following week.

Are we though? Zenden & Phil Neville held informal talks by all accounts, the only person approached that seems to have turned us down is Round and his reasoning is fair.

I'd much rather McClaren took his time and got someone in that he knows he'll have a good working relationship with. If anything I think it's a bonus that he's not just rush in and took Simpson with him. He's looking around to see if he can attract better, if h can't then he'll go back to Simpson because he knows what he offers, that would be my guess anyway.

We've seen with Carver, Stone & Woodman that surround yourself with "yes" men is no good. I dare say the reason Pardew achieved success with Palace is because he didn't have those three clowns with him.

That's the trouble - We don't actually know. Normally, when clubs appoint a new manager/ head coach, their staff is announced fairly quickly. It's been a couple of weeks since McClaren was unveiled. If you believe the press, he was always our first choice, so you would assume that his coaching staff would have been in mind when he was interviewed.

I am just glad to see the back of Carver and Stone. I would also have liked to see Woodman marched out. I don't buy this good coach routine from him. Krul has regressed in some areas of his game and stagnated in others [his kicking for example.] That isn't through lack of ability. I just don't think he has been coached correctly.
