I'm not a great Rugby League supporter or follower although I've always kept an eye out for Rover's results.

Could one of my Rugby following friends on here explain why tonight's game Gateshead vs Rovers is billed as the "one true derby"? I'm puzzled.

Thank you.

I'm enjoying the fact that Rovers are well in command at half time.

It's classed as the one true derby because it's the only one in Super League where both teams are from the same city.

This is a game of considerable size
For everybody who resides
In the city of Hull
Where it's usually quite dull
But they get some excitement tonight

FC have some serious problems.

Rovers were poor in the second half, but they were dreadful throughout.

Their manager (FC)had the look of a sacked man about him, reminded me of the Wrexham fella when Ferriby came back. Quite impressed with the refs in egg-chasing these days, with their go-pro cameras they do look the part, even if with they still get it wrong like in the football, that first try of FC was a bit dubious according to the pundits

Without going into details it was the right call, the pundits on sky are as useless Michael Owen. Although your right he still did get a lot wrong.

Up to watch the game, very big fc supporters, ha ha they're gonna have a bloody long, miserable drive home..
If fc won tonight they were gonna stay in hull for the night
On the piss And no doubt knock on our door in the early hours for a bed to kip in... Thank you KR....

Yeah Radford's been on borrowed time for a while now, but he's still there because Pearson knows **** all about the sport.

The refs in RL are awful in general. Last week at Rovers v Saints the ref & linesmen missed two forward passes a couple of yards infront of them and were booed off.

No other sports fans whinge about refs the way RL fans do. It's every game, every week.

A few years ago I heard both sets of fans moaning about the way Steve Ganson had reffed a Derby Match, on account of the fact that he "never likes to do Hull sides a favour". ****ing imbeciles.

FTFY. <ok>
