Fair play to Tone he has put out a match winning side with probably the exception of Tonge. Still concerning though that we have no striker or game changer as a sub. Also surprised not to see Diao starting as I expected to see him in this game but thankfully not! Clever not to risk Begovich too diving on that hard surface. Could I be starting to like Tone again? Not sure yet!

    Any streams guys?

Possession at half time FC Thun 26% Stoke 74% I have never seen a Stoke stat like this before lol!
It's a plastic pitch and they are soaking it at half time seems wrong that!
FC Thun are not as good as i was expecting and we seem to have loads of space and knocking the ball around quite well.
If we don't get through this tie I will eat my hat!

    No problem.

Anyone have any idea why they're watering the pitch at halftime? It's plastic isn't it?

We've got the win and that's the most important thing but the tie could've been virtually sealed if Jonny had finished that 1 on 1 against the stand in keeper.

First half we played well, 2nd we retreated too much and invited pressure but we were good enough defensively. Upson played well I thought.

Good stuff lads. 4 successive clean sheets and a 3rd successive win in Europe.

 Well a 1-0 win and an away goal - should see us through to the group stages, great result! Yet to concede in 4 competitive games so far - best defence in the world!!

Their keeper banned for the next leg as well so things looking good! If we throw this away we want locking up. Walters could have killed this tie if he had taken that one on one with their makeshift keeper!

Well with no disrespect to Newcastle Town, that is about the standard of swiss football, absolute garbage, why people on here were worried about NOT QUALIFYING for the Europa Group stages astounds me, even with players that come in, that we all agree are at the best Championship standard, have done SCFC proud tonight.

I do not care 1 iota if said players are on 10-20k a week sitting in the stands ( that was the managements choice on contracts ), today showed that the people who do not normally play, actually care about SCFC.

    Well done Stoke

I've seen Arismendi a few times and he's always impressed me Sgt.
Great result and apart from sitting too deep for part of the 2nd half, we might have scored more goals so...
    NO complaints..
Well done Tony Pulis, you selected a team good enough to win away in Europe AGAIN! now let's go for it at home next week.

Can't go to the Brit for the second leg, as I will be in Scotland on holiday but cheer the lads on for me and get us into the group stages

It all kicked off in the tunnel after #scfc win in Thun. Full story in tomorrow's Sun

Sounds like it was to do with their bitter manager. Shocking the way he went straight down the tunnel and didn't shake Pulis' hand.

I clicked on that link and read the Sun's match report but...

What the hell happened in the tunnel? No mention of it anywhere on S S News etc. Only managed to watch about 20 mins of the game then, my internet
    link decided to shutdown!

    http://www.express.co.uk/football/v...-1-Danny-Pugh-is-cool-amid-the-Swiss-thunder?

Challand es said: “I wasn’t happy with a lot of things that went on out there. Let’s just say I don’t think we got a fair proportion of the decisions.”

An eyewitness added: “The Thun manager went totally mad. He was screaming and shouting, kicking water bottles and throwing his fists at the wall.
“When the Stoke players came down the tunnel at the end he was screaming at them. One of them confronted him and swore, before Challand es was pulled away.”
