ermmmm... the thing is carroll is not offically a flop yet. i say offical as some astronomical converage could lead to a 10 goal blast to silense a few critices but mr bebe has to be caled a flop at this point.
if you are willing to call time on torres then i can on carroll... still if mars rises in ares both men might suddenly score a glut of goals but i think if you can call time o nthe guy i thought of but decided not to mention the very least i can do is admit carroll is unlikely to succeed but still... both men have at least a tiny chance seeing they can get a game compared to said mr bebe
Maybe so, but their work so far has been a flop because of their price tag. Torres hasn't actually done that badly aside from not score, he aids the team. It's just the £50m tag above his head
carroll "aids" our team too... he sort of works hard when he gets a chance but most importantly anyone who gets taken off at 80odd mins will have a warm jacket and seat to sit on... body heat is help... sort of. the donk will prove us all wrong someday...
Carroll is 22 FFS, strikers don't usually hit form till their mid 20's. Carroll will never live up to the £35m, even if he hits 20 plus goals in a season down the line you could never justify the amount spent on him at the time. What if Utd paid £30m for Ronaldo when they first bought him? He would have been labelled as a flop in his first season and the Utd fans would have expected a lot more from him and lose patience with his failed crossed legged crosses and step overs. Utd paid what they did for Ronaldo (£12m) based on potential which was what we should have done with Carroll. If Carroll went on to be as important to us as Ronaldo was to Utd the £35m will probably still tarnish his ability. Not comparing Carroll to Ronaldo but using him as an example.
and its up to carroll to change (a lot) to improve himslef.. the ronaldo comparison. e had to change somewhat to get rid of the silly hair and be more effective as well... nani had to change too to become more effective. hell lucas had to change his game to grow into the role expected. one year on and if drogs can admit torres is a flop at the price i just can't summon the will not to say the same about carroll at the price but i did at least make sure to say bebe is a total and utte rflop while carroll (the donk) might just improve soemhow.
Bebe is a flop but at 7 million he is an 'affordable' flop,if there is such a thing. however if SAF made sucha flop signing 5 times in row then his job would be reviewed..or at the very least he would be reminded whos money he is wasting. signing Carroll once was like signing 5 Bebes Carroll though does have experience of engish football to some degree...and still is as mentioned 22 years of age...but how many LFC fans would accept his current rate of development for the next 3 years..when he would only be 25. the price tag has killed him im afraid.....had u paid 10 to 15 million then nobody would have battered an eyelid at the way he is developing infact it would have looked like hes making great strides...bang on to hit peak at 25...but alas i think the price tag is demanding epic returns....eto went for 18 million..yes he is 29 years of age..but you get my point. If Harry could sign him for the cut price that is spoken of and was in the paper today with regards to toon getting him back...then i think he will become a good english centre forward...that left foot has got a place somwhere
dona, that doesn't add up at all. 1. veron. thats pretty much all i need to say to skotch that one 2. before you go make furthe rpoints commolli and kenny are only in for two windows. so no aquilanis please! 3. roll out henderson and i'll say that mr jones cost as much and has made mistakes, both yuong and both willing and able to learn. 4. bebe at 7mil was pointed out that he was availabel on a free before that and the story goes he was signed off a video so the lack of research was to say the least startling. 5. the price tag actually has not much to do with form on the pitch. everyone knows carroll looked great when newkie were lobbing at the far post just for him.. liverpool if you want to critise never hardly do that especially not the poor performing downing. 6. go on say it.. if harry had him he'd make a playe rof him.. go on you're just itching to say it.
So it makes no difference that Torres is a 4 5 years older, Nando is no prospect, Carroll is with still a long way to go with his development. Nando is the finished article as far as being an experienced professional footballer. until this spell at Liverpool that has not gone well for him he was scoring for Newcastle and playing for England and scored too, so this rating of him as a footballer is totally unjustified, he obviously has ability. Most of all laugh at the complete lies when people say they KNEW knew he was this or that, complete lies
well it doesn't really.... torres is fit and working hard (apparently) we've all seen what torres can do so one can either surmise he'l never get back there OR its only a matter of time. Carroll is fit and similarly working, the only time we've seen carrol perform he got about 1 goal in 3 games. he's now on about 1 in 5 games. so either thats marginal disimprovement and related to all the times he gets subbed on/off... or its down to the service. both players need gerrard fit and supplying ball to score from. I stil lthink he needs to change what he is doing on the pitch (like getting in the box and occupying the pen spot more) and probably in training to ge tmore games. When wes browm marked him out of the first game of the year something was amiss. he's not muscling CBs enough either.
