I worked with one of the biggest Wednesday fans you will ever meet for quite a time and saw him a while back and he was decrying the lack of atmosphere nowadays on their Kop End. Funnily enough a Blunts fan who goes in my pub says the same about Bramall Lane though it sounded alright on ?TV the other night.
Nothing wrong with the atmosphere at the KC today v Derby. 2,500 away fans and you never heard a peep all day. Pleased for all those making their first visit back for a while and for the kids going for the first time. As close to the old days as your going to get. Loved it.

Derby used to have a vocal following. The Baseball Ground had a great atmosphere, better than stadiums that held thousands more. Changing times.

Just been reading about a Southampton fan now living and working in Somerset who drove for 4 hours to give his young son his first experience of his dad’s club playing against Leicester last night.

Ironic really, all things considered.

His dad's club are playing Man Utd tomorrow (second paragraph below laddies picture).

You would hope many kids attending for the first time would have been hooked for life after yesterday .

Gotta be better than a local RL team crashing to a heavy home defeat against an M62 pit village with 150 fans in front of a despondent home crowd.
