Kane played that bit at the end like a far more experienced player. No attempt to grab some glory, just ran the clock down, took it to a non-threatening area and then got fouled.

Yes. Quite aside from how many he's scored, I do not remember Adebayor scoring like this for Harry--meaning they mostly seemed routine finishes, whereas more than half this year have been beautiful.

Not sure what happened to Juande's mob in that game. Started the 2nd half well, scored and then seemed to really take their foot off the gas.
Soldado had one disallowed, then we equalised and they were really rocking. Zozulya's stupid headbutt just seemed to seal their collapse, really. Utterly stupid.

Cannot even blame the goals on being a man down. Total loss of concentration on their part.

It wasn't a headbutt, it was the faintest coming together of heads which Vertonghen then milked for all he's worth and threw himself to the ground... shameful.

I'd honestly say the sheer obnoxiousness of Dnipro, especially Matheus and Zozulya, sparked us into life in the second half - it's like the players refused to be eliminated by a bunch of such utter bastards.

The same can be said for the ref. Oblivious to their dives and flailing elbows in the first half, he seems to have spotted them in the second.

Shame we didn't get a good shot of Ramos when it went to 3-1. What was that he said about us not caring about winning?

Let's not get too excited. Until Dnipro self-imploded, we looked pretty clueless. Our defence especially still scares me to death!...

And, of course, no other player you can think of wouldn't have done the same? Unless you've got something just a tad more intelligent to say, why not just **** off, eh?...

A fair verdict, IMO, was that it was a deliberate headbutt which deserved a red card even if it wasn't the hardest one in the world, and a dive, which deserved a yellow.

There were a lot of negatives in this game, but I'm forgetting about them for a moment because it was a good show of character. I was particularly impressed with Eiriksen. He got us started by having "I'm going to score" written all over his face on that free kick. Didn't we used to have a player who was Eiriksen-like on the free kicks?

They are a good enough team not to have to do those antics. But there you go.
Almost as if they had a wager as to whether a Pompey plank-ton would appear here at FT
if one of them got sent off.

Headbutting is only allowed in cage fighting.Do it or attempt to do it on a football field and your leaving pdq!

That apart. The first half performance by Spurs was dreadful.I kept looking for our left winger (?).Did we have one?

The fight back was excillarating.Any more of that and we'll finish up in the CL!!!!!

Yeah, it was Eriksen. Then we dropped him.

The way those two were acting in both games, they must have heard Mourinho was watching and wanted to put themselves firmly in his plans for next season...
