Sorry sarcasm is an Englishmans second favourite past time, after apologising that is! :). Pre-season doesn't really tell you much, I remember we had a cracking one the season we were relegated from the Championship. New formations and fitness are more important.

I think you're mocking me there, or is that hard to tell in text form too? :)

I dont see a prob with having a 3rd keeper, if Super Kelv or the Bartman get injured then atleast we have a sub ready to go, anyone remember Keith Grainger, the poor lad let in 6 against the Gunners (or was it Spurs) when he was 16, not really fair because whoever we played that day gave him the full on rough treatment knowing how young he was and we had no-one else.

If Tommy ever gets the chance to play first team then he might just suprise us with a blinding display, some players do step up given the chance

No goals for Lambert, anyone else concerned by his lack of form?

No, lets cast a gentle judgment over him after the final pre season game.
Even then I'll say 'no', just for the record.

Major concern. 45 Minutes and no goals is simply not good enough! Sarcasm aside seems like a good testing start. Good to give everyone a runout and hand a few youngsters some first team action. The one thing that it does show is that Connolly is back from the dead and up and running!
Also...how unfit is Cork to not be able to play 45 minutes? I guess its more to get him used to the team and our way of playing rather than because he can't play half a friendly...

Don't forget that Cork's season only finished mid June after the U21 championships. So his needs will be slightly different compared to the others and he may even of felt a slight niggle.
Great for Holmes and Connolly. It's a big IF after recent history, but both of them fully fit is a big plus to the squad and both can handle themselves in the championship

I'm surprised that no one has commented on Jose being captain of the first half 11...does this signal Adkins' thoughts for the rest of the season as surely he will play far more games than Deano????

Yeah I just saw that now when I checked the match report on OS. Deano was restored to captain 2nd half as expected but I for one would like to have the Fonte of knowledge as our leader on the pitch, Kelvin being club captain I suppose.
Would Deano kick up a fuss I wonder if replaced?

Good run out and nice (though not essential) not to be beaten. Just watched goals on Player. Good crosses from Holmes but poor defending to let Connolly score as he did. Chambo scored nicely from outside area. Know Forecast let in 2 goals (not shown) but said that he made several good saves, so Biel look a decent side.
