The thing with site is it is has good crack, but in the long run can we trust Mick? The honest answer is who knows, we know that site is run by good people who are Newcastle United fans. The site is dead compared to here when I commented on the post holystone was referring I was trying to get a thread going again.

 

Trust for what though? This isn't a newly settled area of the new world we're residing in here, it's just a forum for a bit of discussion. This place is very active, looks slick and has plenty of good features. I'm not sure why we need to trust anybody about anything when we're just using a communication function.

 

Hmm, I think I could go through this board and cherry pick some pretty ****e posts. Nobody from FB247 asked you to come over, your own members did. If you are happy here, fine, but if you have a problem, then there's an alternative for you on a quiet board with a bunch of still hanging in there ex-606ers who would be happy to see some new members.

 

Mick isn't the issue at all. He simply had the mind to capitalise on the demise of BBC 606. Keeping control of thousands of posters must be like herding kittens.

The real issue is the helmets that are allowed to post stuff anonymously , which would get them arrested elsewhere. Wonder how many would be so willing to post racist/nasty stuff if Mick had personal profiles and addresses? None!

In my view the Newcastle board is vibrant, topical and annoying all rolled into one. I've seen many but decided this is where I choose to post EXCLUSIVELY.

And finally, helmets can descend onto any board. What would you do. Move on again?

The idea was for people who felt uncomfortable with the going ons here. Right as far the Mick thing goes they are still writing disgusting horrible threads about Gary Speed, Sir Bobby Robson and others, yet all the odd person got was a one or two day bans. Tash made an error as far as racism is concerned and got 4 days. At the end of the the day as well Mick is mates with a lot of these idiots on general chat.

 

Everything has died down now. ST and the GC lot are still whinging about everything as per usual (ST's sig is Mick and Syd killed the spirit of not606 ) Let them whinge, let them mope about it, the petulant little brats

We're cool here. Now that we can edit and delete off sexy poll we've got full control of what's posted on this board, so Venom can't be playing his stupid tricks again.

I'm not bothered about people leaving. If they want to leave, leave. I'd rather they stay but I have to respect people's decisions. And if the FB lot come over here, that's cool too. They seem like a great bunch and I'd love for them to become regulars.
