Had a very good year so far with these bets.
Only available with Betfred or Hills

Today

Yarmouth - Favourites over 105 @ 7/4 won
Musselburgh - Favourites over 95 @ 7/4 won
Yarmouth - Distances over 15.5 @ 7/4 won
Musselburgh - Distances over 16.5 @ 7/4 won

£10 4 fold returned £571

This is the 5th time the overs bet has won in 5 weeks - before the 3rd time, the over distances were 15/8 so they I expect the odds to come in to 13/8 soon.
Unfortunately, the markets for these bets is only available 50 mins before the first race, so you have to look out for them.

Anyone else play these markets?

I don't even know what they mean TC. Could you explain them for me please?

To many variables to be a strategy, bit like goals galore etc, you will get streaks of success but the odds are actually against you long term

The going has a big effect on distances and can change during a meeting so you need to be a meteorological forecaster as well, apprentice and amateur races as well as maidens versus handicap provide distance anomalies, all very tricky ~a friend of mine has been making hay/money in French league 2 matches in the over 1.5 goals a game market, just look at the stats, amazing with some of these minor league games!

No problem Ron

The quote is for the meeting
Today there were 8 races at Musselburgh and 9 at Yarmouth

Every winning Fav gets 25 points, 10 for 2nd and 5 for 3rd
Distances - aggregage for the meeting in lengths with a neck = 0.3 lengths, head = 0.2 lengths short head 0.1 length nose = 0.01 length.

So Todays first 3 results at Musselburgh

Race 1 1ST Marnie James 8/11Fav by 3.5L = 25 points
Race 2 1ST Royal Cosmic 13/8F by a head
Race 3 1ST Muntadab 8/1 by 1.25 lengths Fav Unplaced

Therefore atfer 3 races your running total is
Fav'S 50
Distances 4.95

As rudebwoy says, quite a few variables - namely which 2 meetings to chose.
But as the bet gives a 57/1 return, and you do it religiously, it's quite a profitable system. <cheers>

I agree mate, but for a small stake, it keeps you interested in the whole card no matter how crap the races are.
NB - I thought today's bet was a gonner as I needed the Fav to be placed and the winning distance over 6 lengths in the last at Musselburgh - Taweef went off as fav and duly obliged by 15 lengths <party>

i suppose your right , small stakes and interest for the whole card and not necessarily just the winner ,better odds than winning a small lottery return

Thanks for that TC. Would never have worked that out
