Apart from the poached eggs, that sounds like heaven.

They are really good as it goes.

I'd usually have a fried egg or a bit of scrambled with a full hit but thry aren't an option at this place. They do very small poached ones.

What's impressive is the deep orange yolk so they are also clearly good quality eggs. None of your luminous yellow ****e.

Tell you what, I'll take a pic of my plate tomorrow as it's Friday so i'll have the hash brown!

    Spirit vinegar mate.

There are two processes for vinegar ( would apply to any product really Islamically)

First is like putting lemon juice and water in a bottle letting us us through a process that results in vinegar. This process may involve fermentation and alcoholic properties at some point. But nothing is added so the beginning an dend product = halal

Second is same process but adding ethanol based product to speed up the process = adding alcohol = Haram

Interestingly it's ethanol alcohol that is haram not likes of ceteryal (sp)

There are Hadith which state that a)vinegar is one of the best foodstuffs and b) a direct reply of no to can alcohol be added to it.

There's me thinking they're just beans in tomato sauce!

That's the problem with processed food. You've no idea what you're actually eating.

Not just food. My eldest is in medical school and I was speaking to one of the tutors (professor of chemistry ) who has written books and articles on aluminium (he is a leading authourity on it) and he has some interesting and scary stuff on how bad aluminium is from deodrant to foodstuff

He is insane to speak to but his research showed how Alzheimer's sufferers had certain percentage of aluminium in their brains. No one has been able to dispute him but he can't get the recognition as his stuff puts a lot of people into the spotlight

Read quite a bit about Aluminium being linked to Alzheimer's. I stopped using deoderant with ALU in it years ago. It's really easy to make your own deod. Hit me up if anybody needs a good homemade hippy recipe for sweet smelling pits <ok>

I didn't think margarine was sold anymore.

What's sold these days, these so-called spreads, are nothing like margarine in content.

I've always being sceptical about all these chemicals shoved into products these days. I've no doubt that its stuff like this that are responsible for increases in cancers, alzheimers, etc.

I've no idea what's been the cause of my cancer but its unlikely to be anything I've sprayed or rubbed on myself. I don't use them. Just aftershave!

Don't know about that mate tbh

I have seen some research that link today's diabetes and obesity epidemic to the big campaigns (started in 60/70's America) about low fat stuff and margerine over butter etc

Some indisputable evidence in there imho

Course a sedentry lifestyle doesn't help (as you know because what you eat would probably kill you if you didn't work the way you do) but I do think some of the blaming is to escape blame for the ads telling us to stop eating butter etc

Interesting fact milk is the best hydrator and has stufff like magnesium and b12 in that no substitute has, a lot of ailments today are linked to lack of b vits and magnesium

Not sure how this will sound but from what, very little, I know cancer can be caused by many "everyday" things. So a mobile phone kept in a pocket has potential to cause it. When doing the risk estimation it's really low so it's seen as "safe". BUT someone like yourself may have some componet/make up in you that makes you that 00000.1% that is susceptible.

If that makes sense? Not suggesting any if tat is true in your case.

It's why cigarettes kill but you get thise who smoke and live to be 100. Genetics I suppose

Household chemicals too. Everything from Toilet cleaners, washing powder, carpet cleaners, garden chemicals, fire ******ants on furniture. A lot of people expose themselves to a concoction of toxic chemicals and think they are being hygienic.

I don't use any of that **** in my house. Just an eco washing up liquid for nearly everything. Bleach for the toilet and that's about it. I live in an old granite cottage with sash windows, so there's loads of draughts, which is probably a good thing as the house gets aired, rather than being shut up and stuffy. That said it's made of Granite, so I'll probably die of Radon poisoning <laugh>

I agree to an extent mate. But like you hit on, I probably have the unhealthiest diet on here. Fatty foods. Chocolate, and a copious amount off beer.

But its also your lifestyle around you. You work in an office on my diet, you're a goner.

You have to know what you can get away with.
