Right, we’ve had Crisps, Chocolate & ****y drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic. Now it’s time for real sweets such as Cola cubes, Pineapple chunks, Humbugs, Everton mints, Sherbet pips Fruit salads and Blackjacks.

My favourites as a young Ginge were Floral gums, Jelly beans & Banana & Custard chews. There are still some shops that sell these hidden gems by the quarter pound bags although the choice isn’t as great as yesteryear.

Loved sherbert lemons but after you had sucked all the sherbert out of the middle they broke up in your mouth and it was like sucking a Stanley blade...

it brought a new meaning to being "sharp"

Fruit salads are bad boy... fizzy peaches and cherries best in pick n mix.

Mainly prefer soft sweets these days.

What were them lollies you got from the ice cream ***** that come in 10p mixes, they were like a pinky grey lump of cement that just crumbled when you bit into it.

Maybe my brother was just being mean to me
