We're having a splendid Friday, an aperitif or two whilst the chicken piri piri bakes in the oven so I love them all and all of you to.
I look on it that SKD is a proper club hero, Guly for me was almost like a club mascot or talisman who wasn't as good as we wished he was, but we let him get away with that and loved him anyway
Fnck it! I can’t choose one cult hero. Just can’t. Too many. Jason Dodd not there and he scored from a decking corner against the skates for goodness sake George Lawrence Trevor Hebbard Frank Worthington Rueben Agboola Steve Moran Michael Svensson Artur Boruc Jesus is a Right Back David Peach Ossie Hugh Fisher Some little chap called Bobby who did something Very special for us once upon a time. The Latvian Michael Owen who cried on that lap of honour I could go on and on ... ... I know, I usually do
Loved this moment. Only goal Guly scored after promotion to PL I think. If I remember rightly, Jrod wanted to take it but Morgan (or Jose?) had a word to make sure that wasn't happening.
Was my manager at Bashley in my younger days, not for long though as I done my ligaments and tendons before the season started. He loved a drink after training in the club house.
Brilliant moment, against Yeovil in the Cup wasn’t it? I’m glad I was there to see what I think was Guly’s last performance for us. Sam Gallagher got his first senior goal that day too.
Was about 99? I must have been 17. I had a few training sessions in the pre season and tore all my ligaments and tendons turning out for a friendly for a mates team. I never got back there as I was in plaster for over 6 months and then another 6 of rehabilitation after that.
Right, so I think we call it a tie between Yoshida and Shane Long then. How about a 'favourite cult moment' thread (ie; no goals allowed)? My dark horse is Oscar Gobern's Kung Fu kick.
