Best ice cream I've ever had was on Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. The ice cream comes from Zavaroni's cafe - which was the cafe that was run by Lena Zavaroni's family (you young ones will have no idea who she was).
The Eton Mess Carte'Dor and Mackies are my favourite supermarket ice cream. Probably don't compare to some of the fancy stuff on this thread though
You should blend up some Harry Monk into some Choc chip. Girls love it apparently. When they don't know. Posting for a friend. Tash.
What I don't like is getting ripped off, my missus bought 3 lollies from a shop recently for £4.50 when she could have bought the same quality for £1 elsewhere. Massive price difference <know not when to get ripped off, it saves money>
I don't care for American mass-produced ice cream at all (Baskin, Hagen, etc), but prefer continental ice cream/gelato or cottage ice creameries. A good pistachio or ginger take some beating, but really it all comes down to the quality of the ingredients.
