Loved Turner as a kid. Great memories and I have a pic of me with him at a coaching school. I think I’d go Sorensen though.

Tommy for me but baring that championship season we don’t talk about we’ve always tended to have good keepers, Gordon, Fulop, Mannone, mignolet, Pickford and Poom all deserve a mention too

Chris Turner was the first keeper I remember. I met him at a charity dinner a few years back and told him he made me cry when I was 9 years old and he left for Man Utd.
After that I loved Tommy Sorensen and Craig Gordon.

Those would be my top 3, in no particular order.

What a keeper he was in that 3 month spell. Looked about 7 years old, but wow what a shot stopper

To be fair when he was on loan he was unbelievable and made saves that weren’t possible. The B&W qunt. :emoticon-0105-wink:
I started going in 74/75 and can’t pick a favourite we seem to have had some great keepers and all the above are worthy of hero status. But Tony Norman seems to be forgotten and he was superb for most of his time here. But most seem to remember the howler at Hillsborough, he let no one down before that.

Chris Turner for me but I do also have a soft spot for Tony Norman - I seem to recall him being outstanding in the cup run of 92

Tony Norman. I'd been about 10 years old, at Wembley, play off final against Swindon. My lasting memory was a tip over the crossbar and the feeling that if he hadnt been in goal we would have getting a right good thrashing, six of the best, trousers down!

He wasn't too bad in the play-off final against Swindon either. if it wasn't for him, Swindon would've had a hatful! Good job the result didn't matter in the end
