Firstly a disclaimer, if you do not have a sense of humour, then you should not be here.
Through my years on various message boards and many other social media outlets such as twitter, I have come across many characters throughout that time. Whether they be funny, just plain annoying or good at getting a debate going through reaction.
One that seems to have mainly escaped my attention is someone called 'Ron', I understand the person posts on Kent Online, I believe GeminiSwift may well have acquaintance in this area. Now her indoors is not a Gillingham supporter and shares little interest in football (shock, horror) but does occasionally glance the odd news story about the Gills. Sadly reading KOL and finding this Ron quite funny (more shock horror), he makes her laugh! (now I am feeling insecure).
I must keep up more with these funny or maybe even annoying characters. There is even a similar character on twitter, who claims to be an avid Gills fan, now I did see a few of his tweets and thought who is this character. The question is how genuine are these people, who hide behind their keyboards. Do they seriously believe what they write or are they much cleverer and know how to play for fun on the psychological side of human nature.
One that I remember from the old BBC606 days was Major. You could always guarantee, that where ever he went you would be guaranteed a flurry of responses.
Now people can class them as wind-up merchants who should not be allowed to grace the nature of such sites. However, we all have our characters that we love in reality, so why not in our virtual world, as long has they are not offensive.
Which leads me to who is your favourite all time character, maybe Ron, Major or the guy on twitter Sulaiman Mwkana... https://twitter.com/SulaimanMwkana (just take a look at that following) or are they all just one and the same. Whatever the case maybe, I believe they are completely different to your normal routine repetitive posting wind-up merchants in that they gage their responses with some sort of thought process.
Of course let us not forget our very own Lenny but sadly he has turned over a positive new personality (well at least until Christmas).
Name your favourite characters and if you have a link to an example of their comments even better...

- my number one stalker. I think my email account must have been stored into favourites by the beeb mods because of him
