Yeah well I'm just finishing my port and I'm off to walk the Irish Wolfhound, I'll have a slab of venison and a pipe in front of the fire before bed.gout is a build up of crystals that get between the joints of your toes or knuckles.
supposed sign of "good living"

Love ya mate. I'll never forget you and I might even start a thread in your honour. Might x
You can have the summer transfer thread that's stickied. We'll rename it and you'll be thought of in June, July and January.I want a sticky thread if I pop off to the pearly gates.

I knew a guy through business stuff who was always pissed after midday. He drank gallons of cider every day. His excuse was that he had gout and the cider helped him with it.
Good to know. I'll adopt that policy when the time comes.Well yes, drink enough and you wont feel anything.
It’s excessive Uric acid, which crystallises in the joints. Particularly the big toe.
Never suffered from it, thankfully.
I've seen some of this debate, so may have missed the answer, but isn't it mainly attributed to certain types of beer?
Did you first get it because you're a massive pisshead? No, it's a bit of a twat and changes from person to person. I struggled for years but now have good control of it. My main triggers are seafood, acidic fruit, cauliflower, asparagus and some other veg. Mainly healthy things. I suspect some darker beers so avoid them.
Cherries are regarded as a good thing for gout but if I eat them I'm laid up for a week they are probably the worst thing I can eat.

So you're fine if you avoid Austrian food. No, I first had it after being made an Austrian dessert containing cherries, we thought I had sprained it from snowboarding. I can drink beer and wine all day and I wont get it.
