After this "frank talk" that they've had, let's what they've got. And let's see Mackie as a super sub with 20mins to go!

I think Diakite will be alongside Faurlin, with Granero ahead of them in a 4-2-3-1. Although you're quite right that this becomes 4-3-3 very easily. The main point is that we have the numbers in midfield whichever way you slice it.

#QPR subs: Green, Derry, Hill, Wright-Phillips, Mackie, Onuoha, Zamora

But christ AWJM the Hill thing is nitpicking a bit! It's a legitimate understandable decision starting Ferdinand. I'd have preferred hill too, but Anton is stronger and quicker, has more PL experience- and like it or not he's our 1st choice replacement CB when Mbia is unavailable.

Stoke aren't gona do anything unexpected, so i'm happy that it will probably have been quite easy to come up with a gameplan.

Those 2 fomrations are pretty much the same thing,it all depends of the gameplan.

I just hope at the end of the match we wont be writing it should be Derry instead of Faurlin

All QPR fans are picky, obviously ;)

But I disagree about AF being stronger. Hill seems to get up for defensive headers that no others in the team can do. He's our best headerer since Helguson ;)

The beauty of the midfield trio is that they're good all-rounders. Ie in defence or attack they are all comfortable on the ball. I expect to see a more fluid Rangers this afternoon and hope to see us move the ball with more urgency. Getting excited now. Come on URssss.

Mmm....I sense some inside knowledge here.
Do you know for a fact that it's going to be 4-1-4-1 and, if so, who plays where?

I dont like that phrase as it means someone posting to get attention but Ill pass on anything I can but I dont have any relation with the club although I know a couple of people who do, posting team news is bad as weve seen through the DJ/Ric Roc episode a while ago.

I would have preferred Hill too, for his heading ability, but I'm really pleased that Hughes has played the 3 midfielders that most of us were calling for. No complaints from me on team selection.

Mackie is a great sub, Zamora can do a job too....

This is about OK....(In future M'bia back to replace Ferdinand and Park and Dyer on bench that'll do me)...So please start winning!!!!!

Havent a clue on the formation, Hughes has always liked 2 banks of players to defend, Id say its 95% sure it will be 4141 or 451 and not a 4231 as Hughes has never played that before. Not inside info, just common sense.

I agree with you on Mackie & Zamora. Both are capable of coming on and changing a game.

Are the other five subs capable of coming on and changing a game?

I don't think so and I think this shows that our squad still has some weaknesses, ie a weak bench.

What about having some of the youth players on the bench? To early or about time they had a shot? Maybe when we're out of the danger zone?

The onus is on this team to go out and perform.

If it works, Hughes won't change it.

Feeling the adrenaline surge now. Come on U Rs!!!!!!!

Fair enough. Still, at least we'll have numbers in midfield, even if it's like this:
    -------------------Cesar--------------------
    Bosingwa-------Nelsen--Ferdinand-----Traore
    ------------------Diakite--------------------
    Hoilett-------Granero----Faurlin-------Taarabt
    ------------------Cisse----------------------

Have we any youngsters who are good enough for the first team?

Remember, our youth teams are effectively playing second rate football. They win their league every year but it is the second division of youth football.

I have been to Harlington a few times to see them play over the last few years and I haven't seen one who is good enough for the first team. There might be a late developer in there somewhere, I hope there is.

Praise the Lord!!!! - If we don´t get kicked off the park we should see some lovely footie from that line-up, let´s not give away too many set pieces and keep the passing slick and we could just win this one, but I am not under-estimating Stoke to be party-poopers! they are the home team remember!!!

I will use this link for anyone out there interested www.firstrowsports.eu

    Come On Rangers!!!!!!!
